10 Alcoholic Beverage Recipes That Will Kick Start Your Summer

Alcoholic beverage recipes are a summer necessity! With the warm season right around the corner, pool parties, day clubs, and fun under the sun are all calling your name. Here are our 10 favorite alcoholic beverage recipes that will help you kick start your summer!

1.) Moscow Mule Punch

A summer classic with a party twist. Everyone loves punch and the quintessential copper mug fits perfectly in your hand poolside- a great way to cool you down and quench your thirst!

Ingredients

4 cups of ice

3 cups of beer

1 cup of freshly squeezed lime juice

1 cup of mint leaves

2 lime slices plus more for garnish

Directions

In a large punch bowl or container of your choice combine all the ingredients. Ladle or pour punch (again this goes back to the container of your choice) into a copper cup and garnish with more mint. Enjoy! This alcoholic beverage recipe will be a popular hit.

2.) Rose Wine Spritzer

If you enjoy the finer things in life and prefer to sip on some wine pool- we have just the recipe for you and the girl gang. As far as alcoholic beverage recipes go, this is a classic crowd pleaser!

Ingredients

1 750ML of your favorite bottle of Rose

3 (12oz) cans of sparkling water of choice

Juice of 1 lime

2 tbsp of honey

1 lime sliced

1/2 cup of blackberries

1/2 cup of raspberries

1/4 cup of sliced strawberries

Ice

Directions

Combine all ingredients into a large pitcher and stir to combine. Serve over ice in your favorite wine glass and add more berries of choice to garnish.

3.) Mermaid Punch

Tropical, refreshing and delicious. Not many alcoholic beverage recipes can transport you to the beach like this fierce drink can!

Ingredients

Ice

1/2 cup of Blue Curaçao
1 bottle of your favorite champagne
1 1/2 cup of pineapple juice
1 cup of light rum
2 cans seltzer

Pineapple wedges, for garnish

Maraschino cherries, for garnish

Directions

In a large punch bowl filled with ice pour Blue Curaçao and champagne, pineapple, rum, and seltzer. Then add pineapple and cherries. Stir to combine all the ingredients and serve.

4.) Piña Colada

A summer classic that will make you wanna sing! Okay.. maybe it’s just the alcohol talking.  These alcoholic beverage recipes are making me thirsty and they will definitely make you want to throw a party.

Ingredients

3 cups of frozen pineapple

1/3 cup of rum

2/3 cup of coconut milk

optional garnish with maraschino cherries, pineapple slices, and paper umbrellas.

Directions

Put all the ingredients into a blender and puree until smooth or until the mixture achieves the desired result.

5.) Passion Fruit Martini

Um, yes, please! We aren’t just talking about the song by Drake to help with the vibes. Not only will this recipe taste delicious its a great low-calorie drink to have by the pool, but it will knock your taste buds off into tropical heaven… No, seriously.

Ingredients

2 ripe passion fruits

60ml of vanilla vodka

30ml of passoa

1 tbsp of lime juice

750ml of prosecco

Directions

Scoop the seeds from one of the passion fruits into the glass of a cocktail shaker. Add the vodka, passoa, lime juice and a handful of ice in a martini shaker. Shake well. Strain into 2 martini glasses and top up with prosecco.

6.) Screwdriver

A quintessential classic that’s both tasty and refreshing!

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounce of vodka (about a shot – give or take)

orange juice

Directions

Add the vodka into a highball glass over ice and top with orange juice. Simple Simon!

7.) Tequila Lemonade

Nothing says getting the party started like tequila! These alcoholic beverage recipes take a classic twist on lemonade and will surely kick off summer right! Sophisticated, delicious, and refreshing. Let’s get started!

Ingredients

2 cups of ice cubes

8 lemons

Dash simple syrup (optional)

4 sprigs peppermint leaves

1 lemon, sliced into wheels

4 ounces Tequila

Dash of soda water or seltzer

2 vanilla beans (optional)

Directions

Put 2 cups of ice cubes into a pitcher. Squeeze juice of 8 lemons into a pitcher.  Add several dashes of sugar cane syrup (optional). Add the 2 sprigs of fresh peppermint leaves. Add a few lemon wheels for garnish. Top if off with 4 ounces of tequila and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. When serving, put the ice in tall glasses, and pour the Tequila Lemonade over the top. Top up with a splash of fizzy soda water. If you would like, garnish the glasses with a wheel of lemon, vanilla bean, and sprig of mint. Tropical paradise.

8.) Rum Punch

one of sour, two of sweet, three of strong and four of weak... Okay, so that little serenade is not mine, but this Jamaican inspired receipe may have you singing this old tune.

Ingredients

1/2 cup of light rum

1/2 cup of dark rum

3/4 cup of fresh orange juice

3/4 cup of pineapple juice

3/4 cup of cranberry juice

2 tbsp. of grenadine

Ice

Orange slice for garnish

Seltzer (optional)

Directions

Place rums, orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and grenadine into a pitcher. Stir. Fill a glass of choice with ice and pour punch into the glass. Garnish with an orange slice. Enjoy!

9.) Rainbow Sangria

A great way to literally taste the rainbow and we aren’t talking about skittles! This combination will surely put your taste buds on a whirlwind.

Ingredients

1 1/2 bottles of chilled moscato

1/2 cup triple sec

3 limes 

1/4 cup sugar (optional)

3 cup blackberries

3 cup blueberries

6 peeled and sliced kiwis 

2 cups diced pineapple

2 cups diced mango

2 cups of halved strawberries

Directions

In a large pitcher, combine white wine, sugar, lime juice, and triple sec until combined. In a tall glass layer blackberries, blueberries, kiwis, pineapple, mango, and strawberries. Pour wine mixture over fruit and serve! Yum.

10.) Boozy Fishbowl

We could not have a list of summer alcoholic beverage recipes without the fishbowl. Perfect to pass around the pool for the ultimate summer party.

Ingredients

6 cups of lemonade

3 cups pineapple juice

1 cup of rum

1 cup of vodka

1/2 cup of blue Curaçao

Ice

Lemon slices

Toy sharks for garnish

Directions

Pour all liquid contents into a large fishbowl or punch bowl filled with ice. Garnish with lemon slices and toy sharks.
