10 Starbucks Drinks To Order When You Just Don’t Want Iced Coffee

Some days I wake up and I just am not in the mood for a simple iced coffee but still need something to jump-start my day with. Since Starbucks is such a popular coffee place that people obsess over customizing their drinks, here are ten drinks you can get that are not just iced coffee!

1. Strawberry Acai Refresher

While this may be one of the most “basic” orders at Starbucks, it is easily one of my favorite alternatives to an iced coffee. Most refreshers at coffee places taste like syrup and make me gag if I take too big of a sweet sip, but this one has never let me down. It is also a great mixer with alcoholic drinks for when you want to get boozy on the beach but don’t feel like getting creative or breaking the bank buying mixes and such for your drinks. Starbucks has your back with this and even gives you the option to mix in some lemonade for an added sweetness.

2. Iced Green Tea

Iced tea is great at Starbucks, especially in the summer when you are looking for a refreshing drink. This tea has a minty aftertaste that is different from any iced green teas you’ll get anywhere else. It’s been my go-to Starbucks drink for years and it is quite literally always on the menu so you don’t have to worry about the disappointment you’d feel if you got hooked and it is a seasonal option. It’s also super low calorie and low sugar if you get it unsweetened, which trust me, you won’t even miss the simple syrup. It’s light and refreshing, perfect for the summer.

3. Iced Caramel Macchiato

If you want some espresso for an extra kick at Starbucks, this is the coffee drink for you. It’s a macchiato if you didn’t read the name, so it only really has your choice of milk and espresso in it. It’s served over ice (again, duh) and has a healthy amount of caramel sauce drizzled throughout for some sweet flavoring. This Starbucks drink is perfect if you need a boost but don’t want to drink a whole coffee to get the job done. You can even add some extra espresso if you really want to get crazy with it and it’s equally delicious.

4. Mango Dragon Fruit Refresher

This Starbucks refresher comes with a little twist and it was introduced to me through TikTok. Order a mango dragon fruit lemonade with raspberry syrup and passion tea on top with light ice, and thank me later. People are absolutely raving about this concoction and it’s no secret why it’s a 10/10 and different than anything they have on the menu. It’s a perfect balance of sweet and tart so add this to your list of non-coffee drinks that will be your next religious order.

5. White Guava Tea Lemonade

It tastes like Hawaii in a cup. I feel like I don’t even have to write anything else about this Starbucks white tea lemonade mixture to make you want it. It’s a perfect drink for the summer to sip on your way to the beach, and who doesn’t want their drink to taste like a tropical vacation in a cup? Starbucks white tea is a lighter taste than a regular brewed black tea and is the perfect complement to the guava and lemonade flavors.

6. Snickerdoodle Cold Brew

If you want a low-calorie drink that tastes like Christmas cookies but in a Starbucks cup, here you go. Order a grande cold brew with a pump of white mocha, a pump of sugar-free cinnamon dolce syrup, and light cream or your milk of choice. There is a 90 calorie drink that gives you energy and tastes delicious. You could not concoct a coffee drink like this on your own, and it helps you in the long run because it’s not high in sugar and calories like some delicious Starbucks drinks.

7. Iced Green Tea Moon Matcha Latte

Matcha and green tea items are very good for your body and can be a great substitute for coffee in times of need. This matcha green tea latte is perfect for the summer because it is iced and equally refreshing. Go to Starbucks and order an iced green tea matcha latte with coconut milk, no liquid cane sugar, two pumps of chai syrup, and vanilla sweet cream cold foam. It is a little twist on the matcha latte you all know and love but is still not overpoweringly sweet or anything.

8. Blended Refresher

Here is the drink for those who want something in the realm of smoothies, popsicles, or really anything frozen that will cool you down in these heatwaves. Get a lemonade peach tea with extra ice, double blended, and topped with strawberry puree. It has the same vibe as a Slurpee or a slushie but has fresher tasting ingredients and can be purchased when your friends want to only stop at Starbucks before heading on the road.

9. Chocolate Covered Strawberry Mocha

The drink for those who could eat chocolate-covered strawberries at every meal is here. You are going to want to try this delicious treat as soon as possible, but warning it does cost $7 and is worth every cent. Ask for a venti iced white mocha with sweet cream cold foam and in the cold foam ask for the strawberry puree to be added. The strawberry sweet cold foam is delicious and blends into the white chocolate mocha perfectly.

10. Oreo Foam Cold Brew

Cookies and cream flavor is like one of the most iconic and delicious flavorings in any sweet ever. You really can’t find anything like this on any coffee shop menu, so capitalize with this Starbucks hack. Ask for a venti cold brew with four pumps of white mocha, sweet cream cold foam and in the cold foam have cookie crumble blended in. It tastes exactly like an Oreo has been blended into your drink without a ton of syrups added. By blending things into the cold foam, you’re avoiding added sugar and calories that syrup would give you.
