90s Hair Clip Packs You Have To Purchase RN

The 90s style trend that is coming back into fashion has everyone, including me, reaching for their overalls, Lip Smackers and jelly sandals with glee. Even if you weren’t old enough to remember the 90s, you can appreciate the color and fun the era had with fashion. One of the best things that has come out of the 90s fashion revival is hair accessories. In particular, hair clips! Who can forget the iconic looks of Lizzie McGuire, Mary Kate and Ashley and celebs like Britney Spears and Sarah Michelle Geller? We might be leaving the crimped hair, dozens of mini buns and twist adorned butterfly clips in the past, but we are bringing everything else. Luckily for all of us, the looks of our past are back in fashion so we can go ahead and relive the glory days by getting these 90s hair clip packs RIGHT NOW! And feel free to turn on Wannabe or Oops I Did It Again while you click add to cart!

The Classic Clip

Before you get too far back into the 90s style, you can keep it simple with the classic snap clip barrettes. Back in the day, you could get them in any color or pattern and today is no different. Whether you use them to keep your bangs under control to get baby hairs off your neck and keep your high pony in place, there is no wrong way to wear these. I am still a fan of doing one or two clips to keep my bangs back especially with two matching clips. But make sure to get a rainbow back with a variety of each color just in case you want to match the look on either side of your part!

Flower Clips

If you are looking for something a little more fun then just the basic snap clip barrette, reach for a barrette with a flower adornment! Super cute and when paired with the right outfit makes all your soft girl dreams come true. I love these in pastels but they come in every color and style of flower to match any outfit you want to wear with them! If you want a more grown-up version of this clip, opt for one with a more realistic flower on it for a more modern take on the clip!

Acetate Clips

If you want to leave the 90s behind but still want to rock the clip look, acetate barrettes are like a grown-up version of the traditional snap clip look. These come in colors and patterns that look a little more polished and can translate into work styles or as pretty accessories for events. This is a great beginner style of clips if you are new to this hair trend and places like Etsy have millions of options for colors, patterns and styles for you to try! I am digging the seashell or flower-shaped clips that are truly an upgrade from the plastic ones we used to wear as kids!

Star Clips

Back to a 90s clip that won’t quit-star clips are still as cute as they were back in the day! You have a few options when it comes to celestial clips, either with star-like details on the end or a completely star-shaped clip that will add cute details to your hair! Stick with pastels to keep them cutesy and wear with just about anything for a soft touch. I have distinct memories of wearing red, white and blue star clips in my hair for the 4th of July but with cute pastel colors, you can wear them year-round!

Pearl Clips

This is another 90s-upgraded version of hair clips that is still very on-trend! The great thing about getting a pearl-embellished clip is that you can totally rock the oversized clip trend with it! A giant pearl clip looks oh-so-chic whether you wear it to a wedding, BBQ or just to the office. The pearls are classic so no matter where the clip trend goes, you can be sure it will stand the test of time! Definitely mix up the shape and style of the clips so you have one to go with every outfit and look!

Food Clips

Raise your hand if you had these back in the day! I absolutely think these are just as cute as they were when I wore them but hopefully now, we have figured out a better way of keeping the rubber design on! Add a few of these fruit clips to your hair for a fresh, summery look that will make you look cute enough to eat! And don’t just limit yourself to fruit shapes, there are pizza, sushi and bread loaf-shaped clips out there as well, so show your favorite foods off clipped in your hair for the perfect way to relive the 90s!

Back to upgraded versions of our 90s favorites- square clips are chic and keep with the clip trend. Whether you get an acetate version with pretty colors or one with texture, (think corduroy, velvet or faux fur) these look adorable in your hair no matter the style. Neon Clips

Finally, we return to the classic but this time, we take some inspiration from the 80s with some neon color! Stick with the snap clip but add the fun detail of bright, neon colors for an overall retro look that you can rock today! Neon is perfect for summer and the more colors you use, the better they look so don’t be afraid to layer them on!
