Help is on the way. I’ve received priceless career advice from Cheresa Fewell and Elisa Zervos in the Career Center. They helped me to build my resume, prepare for an interview with an employer through research and offered professional advice. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7.
Time after time I waited until the last minute to print something or add something to a Google Slide and ended up late to class. I finally learned to make sure all parts of my assignments were finalized at least 24 hours before they were due. Plus I made it to class on time!
Working in groups with classmates taught me how to express my ideas and accept others in a polite way. By connecting and communicating with my professors I learned essential skills that can affect my future career opportunities, as well as real-world challenges.
During my opportunity to study abroad I was able to show my parents I can travel safely, drink responsibly, spend wisely and communicate frequently. They were proud to see their hard work pay off in another country!
