Start by whisking together your flour, baking soda, and salt. Then, using a hand-mixed, beat your butter on medium-high until smooth. Add your sugars and continue to beat for about 2 more minutes. Then add your eggs, molasses, and vanilla, and beat for another minute. Add your dry ingredients and mix the batter on low.
