When you’re sexting it’s always good to be the one in control, keeping the other person dangling by a string, never knowing what’s going to happen next. By maintaining a hot and steamy vibe you will create a tension that you never thought you would get over a screen. Here are six tips for sexting like a pro without looking like an idiot.
Keeping them curious and never telling them exactly how it is is always a good place to start. For example, if they ask if you’re touching yourself keep them on edge and tell them that maybe you are or maybe you’re not. Maybe you’ll eventually give in or perhaps you’ll just let their curiosity get the better of them.
Never say too much, just say enough to know that they are going to want to know more. Saying “I have something on that I know you will like” might not sound so sexy but by sexting “I have something on that you’re going to be drooling over and want to rip off me tonight” is sure to keep them interested.
Be yourself. This is why you shouldn’t sext if you haven’t done the real thing yet. If you don’t really know each other’s personalities, you don’t know what is appropriate for you to say. Saying something over sexting that you would never say in real life is a no-no.
It doesn’t hurt to make up a few white lies while sexting, and they probably will too. For example, if someone asks you “what are you doing right now?” instead of replying with the full truth: “I am eating dinner” you can say “I just stepped into a hot bubble bath.” Sexting allows you to fantasize with reality. Take full advantage of this power.
If you are a risk taker and enjoy sending a scandalous picture every now and then, always keep your face out of the frame! Not only do you want the temptation to still run deep but you want them to still use their imagination. Besides, worst case scenario that picture falls into the wrong hands, you will be much safer.
If this is your first time sexting you want it to look like you know what you’re doing. Don’t say anything too crazy or too in depth that you might regret later. All you need are short responses to get you straight to the point and eliminate the possibility of embarrassing yourself. If you’re really stuck with what to say but feel as if you shouldn’t leave them hanging, send an emoji or mash a load of buttons as though your overwhelmed with desire. Sounds lustful, right?
