Everyone at the point is familiar with the family board game, Monopoly; if you aren’t, you’re a little behind. Since it is a family favorite, Monopoly has taken it among themselves to create a serious Monopoly wood luxury edition. It is actually unlike any other board game you’ve ever seen. The Monopoly luxury edition comes with beautiful wooden cabinets, a faux-leather rolling area with gold stamping, two drawers for the die and built-in storage, plated tokens, houses and hotels and premium Monopoly money.
It’s pretty reasonable to assume we can’t all afford the $249 Monopoly wood board. Luckily, this has inspired other Monopoly wood boards to surface. Target currently sells the rustic series of the board game. The Monopoly wood aesthetic is easily achieved and only $40.
L.L. Bean has also created a deluxe Monopoly board that is again, on the pricier side. It is pretty legit. You can even add engraving on the boards. If you know an ultimate old-school gamer, this does make for a nice present. The added bonus is that is comes with both Monopoly and Scrabble. The Deluxe Scrabble/Monopoly set is no joke. It’s a reversible board with a solid wood case. It has a built-in lazy Susan and built-in storage for the game pieces. You can personalize the games with a nameplate, obviously with an additional charge. L.L. Bean adds its own touch to the Monopoly wood board set with different game pieces: a tote, dog, boot, canoe, moose and lantern. Pretty cute.
Thankfully, Monopoly Nostalgia Game Series has that Monopoly wood board! This is the most affordable Monopoly wood board game on the market; it’s $25. It has an extremely vintage look to it and is simple and pretty close to perfect. Can’t hate it!
