So, here’s a few unique Valentine’s Day date ideas perfect for cold weather.

1. Bundle up and go on a hike together.

Find a trail where there’s snow and a beautiful view at the top you can enjoy together. Bring a thermostat and enjoy coffee or hot chocolate at the top with your love. Bundle up with blankets for you too and get cuddly, perfect idea for an outdoor Valentine’s Day date for cold weather!

2. Go ice skating or rollerblading.

Going to an ice skating rink or rollerblading rink will get you doing something active together, rather than just eating dinner and watching a movie. It’s also pretty romantic when you have to hold hands so you don’t fall.

3. Volunteer together.

Volunteer at a local food bank or animal shelter to show love to others who are less fortunate. Giving back to the community is probably the best way to spread love on Valentine’s day!

4. Have an indoor picnic.

Throw a blanket and pillows down in your living room and make the fixings of a picnic, right in the comfort of your own room.

5. Visit your local zoo together.

Chances are certain animals will be more active than animals you see in the summertime months at the zoo; who doesn’t love to see penguins?

And don’t forget to make all of your favorite snacks. You don’t have to go out to some fancy restaurant and spend an entire paycheck at the movie theaters this Valentine’s day – we’ve got Netflix.

8. Go to an interactive restaurant.

Some restaurants will cook your food right in front of you, others feature singing waiters, while others you can draw on the table. Do some research and find an interactive restaurant near you – it’ll be an experience to say the least!

9. Try a new recipe together.

Decorate your dinner table with candles and a fancy place setting, and enjoy something new together by candlelight.

10. Go snowboarding or skiing.

For my first Valentine’s day together with my boyfriend, we went snowboarding and I will never forget it because it was so much fun. Instead of going to an expensive restaurant we decided to spend that money doing something fun together. What better way than to slide down the mountain??
