1. Persian

The original in boho style, bringing in a more eastern feeling. If you want to stay classic then these rugs are for you. There are plenty of options within them as the colour patterns to chose from are endless.

The size of these rugs is dependent on your room. These are great as a large piece that goes under your bed frame. But they also work in a smaller size to just go by the side for you step down on to in the morning and squeeze your toes into.

Price is an issue with these, however. The bigger you go, the more expensive they are. So really the style depends on your budget and your style. The ones below are a great smaller piece to feature at the end of your bed, being around $50.

2. 3D

I personally love this look as it feels different to the rest. And my artistic style is working with unconventional material, like metal and salt. So if you are looking for a really unconventional boho vibe, this could be for you. You are adding an extra dimension to your room.

As you can see the colour is missing from this rug as well, but this is another take on the boho vibe. Rather than blasting your room with colour, and patterns, you are taking a more minimalist approach. This rug would go amazing in a white-focused room, with green plants that stand out.

3. Geometric

Geometric patterns are really popular in the boho scene, so if you aren’t keen on the Persian style, focusing on the geometric patterns will be better. Again this works well in a minimalist bedroom because all the attention will be focused on the crazy pattern at your feet, you don’t want to overload the senses. But this is totally up to you, it depends on the creative vibe you’re going for. Whether you want colour thrown everywhere in the rug, or keep it simple in black and white like below. Go wild in your creation.

4. Colourful

Colour is always great to add to a boho vibe. Whether you want a certain colour theme in your room, or you want ALL of the colours is up to you. These rugs below give you a bit of every colour in them and draw your attention to them straight the way. The messiness of the lines in it’s weaving gives it a really rustic, creative vibe, so if you have a lot of wood in your room this could go really well.

The colour of this could be applied to any of the other styles, for example, you could find a colourful geometric pattern to really make a statement.

5. Shaggy

This is probably the best of the carpets to sink your feet into in the mornings. Who doesn’t love a shaggy carpet! Especially ones that are extremely soft.

A simple pattern like the one below is popular in the shaggy style and really works in a white-focused room. You can get them in a wide range of colours, including pinks and blues and oranges, but the pattern stays relatively the same. Simple but effective.

6. Washed-Out

For an artistic approach to the Persian style, there are a number of rugs that look washed-out. Of course, this is on purpose, but I feel like they look great. The colour is less harsh, and overpowering, and it adds a certain vintage and old-worldly vibe to the room.

You’ve gone past a rug, you have a rug with history. If you still want colour in a white-focused room then it looks amazing when you add a rug like this into it. You still have some colour, but you keep it minimalistic.

7. Crochet

Depending on how creative you are, you could buy a crochet rug, or you could make one yourself. Kind of depends on what type of artist you are. And how patient you are.

With crochet rugs the patterns you can get are endless, these are great below as they stay close to the mandala shape. But there are plenty more options for you if you want more colour, or hexagon shapes.

The possibilities are endless. And the simplicity in it just being crochet makes the pattern stand out so much more. You no longer just have a rug, you have artwork on the floor. Which you can brag about if you made it yourself.

8. White and Black

White and black is a powerful combination. If you don’t want a room full of colour, keeping it monochrome is a great alternative. Especially with the addition of one or two colourful objects, say a pillow, or blanket-like below, make the room stand out so much more.

Black and white make a statement. More than a room full of colour could manage. White and black applies to many of the other styles as well, whether you want geometric patterns, shaggy, or even Persian. You can get them all monochrome.

9. Jute

A great creative alternative to the majority of the rugs, or a great addition. A jute rug doesn’t have to be a stand-alone piece, it complements many of the other styles. But it works on its own, especially in a room full of wicker and wood. If you have a theme going on, stick with it.

Jute rugs also work well in going under the bed, whether to work as a protection against the floorboards, or a decoration piece. The jute is a great addition to any boho vibe.

10. Faux Fur

Lastly, faux fur. Not your normal addition for a boho vibe, but it works. The size of the rugs are normally small so the rugs don’t always have to feature on the floor like the others. They can decorate a chair or sofa like the picture below. It adds comfort as well as an artistic look.

The furry rugs work best when in a cluttered room, in my opinion, they are great for filling in gaps on the floor. And the best bit is, you aren’t limited to having one with these little rugs, you can get as many as you want or need.
