Recently it seems as thought there hasn’t been a lot of good shows to watch on any streaming services lately because as if we’ve watched most of them due to the lockdown we’ve had because of COVID. Fortunately though, there are a couple of tv shows that are quite popular and well known on Netflix and should be watched immediately. Listed below I’ve come up with a few shows that are waiting to be watched.
One of the best Netflix shows currently out there and #1 in 90 countries, Squid Game will have you on your toes for all 9 episodes. Unfortunately, there is currently only one season, but each episode is almost 45 minutes long.
This show will have you mad, crying, and angry in every episode you watch, but it is completely worth it because you never know what each episode entails until you’ve fully watched it. The only thing is that it is in Korean, so you will have to have the subtitles on, but if you don’t like reading the subtitles then you can watch it dubbed in the language you prefer.
Cillian Murphy, Birmingham and WW1. You know the saying, “Dont judge a book by it’s cover,” well that is exactly what is going on with this Netflix original.
By the title alone you probably thought of something completely different than what the show is actually about. If you love crime dramas and historical fiction then this is the right show for you because it has the perfect amount of crime in it, all while still telling a story of a man who thought he could grab it all with little consequences.
Although all the characters of the show were great actors, the main Cillian Murphy did a fantastic job when it came to the emotions he portrayed within the show.
A show that will continue to outdo every show put on Netflix is Breaking Bad. No matter how long it’s been since production of it finished, the great dialogue and chemistry throughout the great television show will always win.
The best part of it is that it is actually based on a real life story of a man Walter White who was actually a Meth cook like the one in the show.
A show that was originally only supposed to get a single season and is now on a third should tell you just how good this show actually is.
YOU is a psychological thriller on Netflix that will have you wondering how much someone would go through just for love. Who would’ve thought a bookkeeper would turn into an extremely toxic, delusional serial killer just for the sake of one person and because of love at first site. The show also shows you the power of social media and how it can be used for the worst reasons in because of an obsession that quickly got out of hand.
Although this show is not suppose to promote stalking, and violence, it does goes to show just how dangerous the world actually when someone can become extremely infatuated with you and should be used for a learning experience, and to always be careful of who you let into your life, and to watch for the red flags because they will always be there.
Other than that, the show is a great one to watch and talk about amongst your friends.
Who would’ve thought a Korean man would be adopted into an Italian family that soon joins the mafia.
You wouldn’t necessarily hear the words Korean and Italian mafia in a sentence together, but you have now in the Netflix show Vincenzo. Origianly named Joo-Hyung Park, but later renamed Vincenzo Cassano, Vincenzo must try and stay alive while being hunted by his “brother” all while also reclaiming and recovering his fortune from a Korean real estate group.
It’s still fairly new considering it came out in early February of this year, but it has one of the highest tv rating in Korean television history.
Because it is a Korean film there will be a lot Korean in it, but it also will be combined with Italian since it is also about the Italian mafia as well, so there will be subtitles available.
If you love vampires, British accents, and the history of New Orleans, then you will absolutely love The Originals, which is also a spin-off of the popular television show The Vampire Diaries. The originals are actually the Mikaelsons family who have roamed earth for centuries, and were the first vampires to ever be around, hence the name, The Originals
Of course with living that long, there has been consequences to doing so, and they now have to pay the price and the people trying to stop this family do not care what they have to do to stop them. Not only has this caused a tremendous amount of wars, and innocent bystanders, but it also has caused turmoil between the family members seeing as being around your sibling for over 1000 years could only good but for so long.
If you’re looking for something that you will never get tired of, this is perfect for you. Each episode of Black Mirror is completely different than the last and showcases satirical, suspenseful tales.
Black Mirror also is Sci-fi and showcases the dark side of technology and how it can be used to cause harm to society and how it can be used t twist the minds of civilians and their behavior.
Another great Korean television show is Sweet Home. If you love movies that entail monsters and apocalyptic then you’ll love this.
It starts off as a young teen moving into an apartment building, but soon after doing so the outside world starts to become infected with monsters depleting the human race.
Unbeknownst to himself, he later learns of something that he never knew, but this very thing has helped the ones that are trapped within the apartment to survive.
