What is better than hanging out with your friends on a nice lawn underneath the shady Oviatt trees? Not much. Celebrate the Matador way and join in on the FUN! Here are 10 things you MUST have in order to have a killer tailgate at CSUN!
Sunscreen is a must. Whether you like it or not, we all need that “mom” friend that reminds us to put on sunscreen.
So, what should you bring to a fun get together with your friends? Hmmm… Luckily, there are honestly so many options! You simply can’t go wrong! Here are a few must-haves:
Even if the back of your car is full, always remember to pack some extra chairs. Then, you will be able to sit back and relax with your friends.
This can be a tough one, because NO ALCOHOL on campus… BUT, if you are of legal drinking age, there is always CSUN’s Campus PUB at the University Student Union Center. Otherwise, here are some fabulous ideas:
When everyone is getting rowdy, you will thank me later!
Apple radio, Pandora, and Spotify are the BEST options.
From water to board games, the possibilities are endless. Slip ‘N Slide and Cards Against Humanity are ALWAYS a good time!
Bring your canine to bond with the other dogs. Or, simply enjoy your friend’s pets!
How else are you going to pull off the perfect summer tailgate without an awesome grill? Comfort food, here I come!
The lot next to the Student Recreation Center, G3, is one of the best places to have your tailgate! On the outskirts of the busy campus, there is a lot more room for everyone to park. Another great lot would have to be B6! There are tons of trees for shade, and it has a side-street where you can park even more cars!
Also, if you and your friends want to go to a bar or hangout place afterwards, there is the on-campus Pub Grill in the University Student Union. You can grab a beer, soda, or even some great food! Sounds like an ideal tailgate at CSUN to me!
Make the most of your tailgating experience!
