Number two on the list of tiny essentials is more popular with converted vans because they stay put on the move. However, they do have a tendency to appear in tiny houses too (whether on wheels or not). And plus, it’s certainly a great way to store spices whatever the size of your house.

This is definitely not only a tiny house essential, but an essential in general. Having said that, it takes the number three spot on the tiny essentials list because it can really brighten up your space. Plants are a great way to make a house feel more homie and open it up. Think of it as bringing nature into the house, it’s like removing the border between your house and the outside world. In short, it can seem more specious and fresh.

Storage baskets are a great way to organise fruit and veg or other loose things around the house. In a tiny house it’s really important to keep everything tidy, because otherwise the clutter will make the space feel even smaller than it is. Whether it’s hidden away behind a cabinet door or just placed over your sink, this type of drying rack will definitely save you a lot of space, as it will allow you to have a larger counter.
