The Top Concerts To Check Out In Montreal This Summer

Montreal is one of the few Canadian cities that gets a lot of big-name concerts other than Toronto and Vancouver. Luckily for us, this summer there’s a ton of amazing artists coming that you should check out!

Pink Sweat$

I only discovered this artist recently, and immediately bought a ticket to his show. He is an up-and-coming R&B artist who has a sound that is very unique to him. His beats have more of an acoustic feel to them and they’re really soothing and well-produced. His music is relatively fresh, with his first EP only coming out in November of 2018, followed by another March 2019. If you haven’t listened to him, I would highly recommend doing so because it’s going to be one of the best concerts of the summer.

Billie Eilish

The 17-year old alternative pop singer has been tearing up the music scene as of late. Having started off with a song on SoundCloud, she has progressed into quite a large phenomenon with an ever-growing fan base. She’s touring for her recently released album, When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? Her music is a fresh take on the alternative pop genre and her avant-garde videos have definitely helped make her a recognizable face and name.

Bryan Adams

He is basically Canadian royalty in the talent industry. With hits like “Summer of ’69”, “Run To You” and “Heaven”, he has a discography that most people can only dream of. If you’re looking for some concerts to go to in order to see raw talent and phenomenal acoustics, this is definitely one for you. He has a variety of music awards for a reason!

Jennifer Lopez

She could definitely put the majority of us to shame with her killer body, not to mention her insane amount of talent in both vocals and dance. If you’re looking for a high-energy concert where the performer does far more than stand in one place, Jennifer Lopez is definitely among the top concerts to check out in Montreal this summer. She’s done just about everything one can accomplish in the entertainment industry and seeing her in concert is definitely on my bucket list (and most other people, too).

The Backstreet Boys

Come on, are you really going to pass up the chance to see this iconic boyband at what will be one of the most nostalgic concerts of the summer? Their recent album debuted at the top of the charts despite their peak being quite some time ago, and this concert is definitely worth-while to see because I doubt they’ll be going on many more (if any). Don’t miss the chance to hear some of your favourite songs of theirs from back in the day live!

See Also

Iron Maiden

If you’re a heavy metal fan, then this is most certainly the concert on here that will be appealing to you. I can’t say I’m the biggest heavy metal fan, however Iron Maiden still has some classic songs that I enjoy. They’ve been around for ages and are one of the names most people associate with the genre. Despite the fact that the media hasn’t really ever played much of their material, they’ve still shined as one of the biggest heavy metal bands to date. Don’t miss your chance to see them live!

Khalid

He’s been to Montreal a few times before (including at Osheaga last summer), so whether you’ve missed him before or just want to see him again because of how insanely talented he is, this is your chance! The R&B singer has been steadily climbing his way up the charts since his debut, and I can attest to the fact that his voice is just as phenomenal live as it is on his album. Khalid will definitely be one of the top concerts on my list this summer.

Shawn Mendes

Yet another talented Canadian artist coming to Montreal this summer, I really can’t complain. Shawn Mendes started off on the Vine app and has since gone on to become one of the biggest pop sensations today. Since the release of his first album in 2015, Shawn Mendes has become a heartthrob along with the likes of Justin Bieber because of his immense vocal talent, guitar ability and swooning looks. He’s one of the concerts that is sure not to disappoint this summer.

There’s lots of other great artists coming to Montreal this summer as well, let us know in the comments down below who you’re most excited to see!
