The Newest ABH Palette You Can’t Ignore

The newest ABH palette has left us in both excitement and skepticism. Find out the deets on this new highly coveted palette.

We’ve already had huge makeup releases this summer: from Jeffree Stars Thirsty Collection to Fenty Beauty’s Moroccan Spice Eyeshadow Palette. It seems like so many makeup brands are launching new products faster than our bank accounts can handle. I’m finding myself having to choose between which product to buy more often than usual. However, the hype around the newest edition to the ABH palette brand is overwhelming.

What’s The Story?

The Norvina Palette was named after the company’s president and founders daughter, Claudia Norvina Soare. Claudia created the product herself and added a slight twist to the palette’s usual appearance. The color of the palette is lavender but features 14 eyeshadow shades; seven shimmers and seven mattes. . . which is something ABH has never done before.

When looking at the palette, your eye immediately catches the glittery shades in the top row. The color scheme, purple and pink, matches the lavender packaging.

Some of you might be instantly drawn to this palette, while others might be more skeptical and for a good reason. Unless you live under a rock or just don’t care about makeup, you might not have heard about the complete disaster the Subculture Palette was.

The Subculture Story

A year ago, ABH announced a release of a brand-new eyeshadow palette that featured warm colors and mossy greens; something different from the brand. This palette was released after the huge success of their Modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette so everyone was expecting nothing but the best. Unfortunately, the product did not live up to the hype and received so many bad reviews from customers. Numerous beauty channels on YouTube gave the palette poor ratings for blend-ability and fall-out.

It’s not surprising that recently ABH announced that the palette will be discontinued. This is because they want to make room for “new material.”

After the Subculture flop, some people became more hesitant of ABH eyeshadow releases and started waiting for product reviews online before purchasing the item themselves. However, some beauty influencers on YouTube have already received the product as a promotional item. If you love makeup and this palette is calling your name, then you can watch a few product reviews on YouTube before the launch date and decide if this palette is worth your coin.

How To Get It

The entire beauty community was shook when ABH announced the release date of the Norvina Palette on July 17 on their website. It can also be purchased online and in-stores at Ulta Beauty on July 29, or online at Sephora, Macy’s, Dillard’s and Nordstrom on August 7. After that it will be in-stores at all of those locations on August 17. The newest ABH palette will retail for $42 online and in-store.

ABH has released a series of similar palettes over the last few years including the Subculture, Prism, Soft Glam and Modern Renaissance palettes. The brand is known for the Modern Renaissance palette as well as their brow products and Glow Kits. Their items can be purchased online at their website or at Sephora’s website.
