Sadly, things do not work as perfectly as Lara Jean would like them to be. Just when things seem to be going well, Lara Jean receives a letter back from John Ambrose Mclaren in response to her love letter. The Last Summer

The Last Summer is about the summer before college, the summer where everything begins to change, the last summer that you try to figure out what you want. This movie follows the lives of several high school graduates as they try their best to navigate their way through their last summer before adulthood. I think this is a very fun movie and the perfect way to get you in the mood for summer. It also gives you a very nostalgic feeling while you watch, takes you back to your last summer. If you enjoy movies that have romance, adventure, and coming of age, then this is the perfect movie to stream on Netflix.

The King

Besides the captivating story that this movie tells I can give you one main reason to watch The King on Netflix, Timothee Chalomet. Personally, I absolutely adore Timothee Chalomet and would watch any movie that he is in. In The King he plays King Henry V who is thrust onto the throne after the death of his father and brother. This movie follows the ruling of King Henry V as he rules his kingdom and battles the French Dauphin in a war for the throne. I did not think that I would enjoy this movie because I am a big fan of romance movies, but I absolutely loved it. The acting from both Timothee Chalomet and Robert Pattinson was marvelous and captivating. For fans of history, action, and drama pieces then this is the perfect movie to stream on Netflix while you are stuck inside.

All the Bright Places

Netflix’s All The Bright Places is based off of the best selling book by Jennifer Niven. Before I go on I want to warn viewers that this movie does contain sensitive and triggering material, such as suicide and self-harm. This movie follows teen Violet Marky after the loss of her sister in a car accident trying to figure out how to live again. Once she is paired up with fellow student Finch to work on a project of finding the wonders on Indiana, Violet is forever changed. Finch brings out the things that Violet has been missing ever since she lost her sister, teaching her how to truly be alive again. This movie is both beautiful and heartbreaking, taking viewers on an emotional rollercoaster and teaching us that we never truly know what is going on in another person’s head.

Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

As a lover of books, this movie was a dream come true! The movie follows the writer, Juliette, that is trying to figure out what her new normal is after loss of her parents and the devastation of WWII. Her comedic stories have granted a lot people happiness during the tough times of the war, but she wants to do more out of her writing. Juliette yearns to be taken seriously as a writer and find something that she is passionate about. Her entire life is turned around once she receives a letter from handsome Dawsey who lives on the island of Guernsey. After receiving a book that Juliette had to sell during the war the two connect about the effects that books have left on their life. Their connection depends when Juliette travels to the island of Guernsey to learn the story that surrounds the infamous Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Through this literary society Juliette discovers the story that she has been needing to tell and a connection with the people that will last a lifetime. This movie is perfect for fans of the book, but as of romance and a good story!
