For the first couple of years of college I had been using an old Dell laptop. After a while it decided life on earth didn’t seem so appealing anymore and it died. I decided I wanted to get a MacBook. After a life of androids, I wanted better products. So when I took my break from school, I saved up my money and bought a brand new MacBook Air. I’m literally using it to type this article. It’s pricey but it’s a great product. It’s reliable and I’ve never had a problem with it. Even though I’m still in school, I’m sure your college grad would appreciate it now that they’re graduating. Just because they’re finished with school, doesn’t mean the need for a laptop goes out the window.

2. A Coffee Maker

As an avid coffee drinker, I couldn’t have survived college without my coffee maker. I mean I could have but I don’t think I would have been delighted to spend a lot of money every week at Starbucks. As expensive as college is I’d rather invest into a product than spending money each week for the same results. Also, getting up extra early to stand in line and wait isn’t favorable to anyone. A coffee maker is more convenient than all of Dunkin, Starbucks, and Marylous combined. Now that your grad is on the way to a new career, I’m sure they will still need their coffee in the morning.

I’m sure your new college grad is going to have to commute to their new job, or they just like listening to music all day, every day. Why not get them a brand new pair of headphones? I know when I forget my headphones at home, my whole day is ruined. I used to use flimsy little earbuds that would tangle all of the time, but with headphones there’s no tangling and better noise-blocking technology. Better noise blocking means a better chance of not hearing the world, because what would your grad want to hear, two people fighting on the train or their favorite song or audiobook?
