Glass skin is the newest and most popular makeup trend right now! We have strayed away from super glam makeup into healthy shiny and dewy skin. Here are the 10 steps you need to take to achieve this look!
The first step is to prep the skin by applying a deep pore cleansing mask! That will help smooth out skin texture.
Recommended Product: The GLAMGLOW – SUPERMUD® Activated Charcoal Treatment Mask! This product uses the Super Six Acid Blend that helps unclog and minimize the look of pores.
This might seem a little extreme but shaving your face exfoliates it and removes dead skin cells from the surface of the face. Use an eyebrow razor to shave, make sure to wet the skin before doing so for the best results. Here is a video tutorial for those doing it for the first time.
This is the second to last step in the skin prep category! But following the face mask and the exfoliation by shaving your face needs to be cleaned to remove any remaining debris. Make sure to use a hydrating formula that does not trip your face from natural oils, as the key to glass skin is hydration.

Now onto our first makeup product, liquid gold highlighter! Bring on the shine and apply a sheer layer of liquid highlighter to the skin. This will serve as the base from the artificial “glow from within” makeup procedure.
Recommended Product: BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector® Liquid Highlighter. This the perfect highlighter for some strobing action, make sure to hit the high points of the face! Which includes nose bridge and tip, cheekbones, brow bone, and upper lip cupid’s bow.
In this step use a heavy-duty concealer to hide any blemishes, sunspots, and acne marks from the skin. After that, use a lighter shade of concealer and use it for highlighting the under-eye area, this will make you look more youthful and awake. Use a beauty sponge to apply the concealer for optimal results.
Recommended Product: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. This is a concealer with medium to high coverage, yet a radiant finish. Making it perfect for hiding away imperfections yet keeping the skin looking healthy for our desired glass skin look.
For this step, we recommend using a tinted moisturizer in the place of a foundation. If you prefer to use foundation opt out for one with a minimal and sheer coverage with a dewy finish.
Recommended Product: LAURA MERCIER Tinted Moisturizer Illuminating Formula. Not only is this a good illuminating tinted moisturizer. It also comes in a wide range of shades, making it one of the most inclusive tinted moisturizers out there.
Powder is the enemy of the glass skin look! As it soaks up all the moisture and mattifies your skin instead of allowing it to glow. If a powder is needed for a hot summer day or potential creasing, we advise using a translucent powder and only applying it to distinct areas, not the entire face! As that would erase all the moisture you have developed so far.

This step calls for a metallic highlighter to top it off, get yourself a foiled style highlighter that compliments your natural undertones. Then we recommend using your fingers to apply it to the face, make sure your hands are clean! Using the fingers to apply the highlighter as your hands possess natural oils and warmth that will blend it into your skin more seamlessly. As opposed to having it applied with a brush that leaves the product sitting on the skin rather than blending into it.
