10 Snacks You Need To Bring To Any Festival

Whether you’re headed to Coachella, Spring Awakening, or any other music festival in the next upcoming months, let it be reassured that you will need snacks to keep you energized throughout your long day of festivities. There are always food and snacks sold at the campsite, but who wouldn’t want to save a few bucks? Here are some nutritious and delectable festival snacks to bring with you as you are making preparations for this year’s festival season!

1. Trail Mix

You can never go wrong with a packet of trail mix. It is a fusion of salty, sweet, and sometimes even spicy snack items to bring you the perfect blend of flavor. It is packed with vitamins and will help you stay fueled throughout the day.

2. Dried Fruit

Dried fruit is much more practical than fresh fruit when it comes to festival treats. You do not need to worry about keeping them from getting bruised or going bad. Dried apples and mangoes are my personal favorites for festival snacks.

3. Granola

A fancy twist to toasted oats will bring you the perfect crunchy and sweet snack. A few handfuls of nutty oat clusters will do the trick to get you going again when you are feeling drained.

4. Bananas

As mentioned earlier, fresh fruit is not always the best idea, but you cannot go wrong with a banana to start the day off strong. Make sure you keep it in safe place to keep it from turning into mush in the sweltering heat. It is low in calories, yet loaded with fiber and potassium to keep you moving, making them the perfect festival snacks.

5. Crackers

There is nothing easier than throwing a stack of crackers in your bag. A stack of Ritz or Saltine crackers is a perfect choice. It is a light and easy snack to munch on while enjoying the music.

6. Hummus

If you are bringing a cooler, be sure to grab that hummus. It will be a life-saver since it will instantly add a boost of flavor to any crispy snack. Plus, it is a great snack to share with your fellow festival friends.

7. Rice cakes

This may seem like a strange snack option, but rice cakes are so versatile. The flat top is a perfect canvas for spreads and toppings to create the perfect snack to suit your preference.

8. Medjool Dates

Got a sweet tooth? Medjool dates will satisfy your cravings. It has a candy like quality with its dry, flaky exterior and chewy interior to make for the perfect sweet treat.

9. Veggie Crisps

You may wonder why you would want crisps in a hot and humid environment, but you will surely want something salty and a tad unhealthy at some point in the day. Rather than reaching for regular potato crisps, why not go for veggie crisps? They have a little less sodium and fat making them the better option.

10. Gum or Mints

Things might be getting sticky and even a little smelly with so many people gathered up in one tight crowd. So just as you would maintain good body hygiene, it’s also important to watch your oral hygiene. Popping a mint or throwing in some gum can easily fix bad breath. This may seem a no-brainer, but it can be very easily forgotten.
