The life of a college student can be hectic; you are either in class, studying, or working part time. You have to make sure that you’re taking care of yourself, because otherwise you will wear yourself out. As a college student, your schedule will be busier than it was before, so you won’t always have time to eat break-feast or lunch, which is why you need to make sure that you have these seven snacks on hand.
Fruit snacks aren’t just for kids! In college, I probably lived off of these, because they’re easy to eat on the go. Fruit snacks come in many different forms: fruit roll ups, gushers, and other gummies; the possibilities are endless. We know that fruit snacks aren’t the healthiest of snacks, but there are brands like Annie’s and Welch’s that offer healthier options. So don’t forget to pack your fruit snacks!
I loved P3 snacks in college and I still continue to even after college. P3 snacks are a great source for protein; they can give you that extra boost that you may need during the day. My personal favorite is the turkey, almond, and cheese combination, and being that there are so many options with this snack, you are bound to find one that you like.
When I don’t have time in the morning to sit down and eat some sort of break-feast, these smoothies are my go to. They say break-feast is the most important meal of the day and it really is, because it helps prepare you for the day. Don’t start your day off hungry, instead have a break-feast smoothie, they’re high in protein and nutrients, so you’ll be set for the day with one of these.
Kind bars have become a recent discovery of mine and I love them. Kind bars might be healthy, which is a bonus, but they actually taste good. All Kind bars are gluten free and are made from whole ingredients. The Kind brand has roughly eight different lines, so talk about options. My personal favorite is the cranberry-almond bar, I could literally eat them all day…
Obviously, we know how important break-feast is and if you are looking for a tasty break-feast that is not a liquid, then Jimmy Dean is a great choice. I love Jimmy Dean break-feast bowls, so much so that I don’t even have to be on-the-go to eat it. All you have to do is place the bowl in the microwave and set it to the instructed time and you’re done; break-feast has never been easier.
I guess when it comes to snacks, we’re all about the protein. Beef jerky has been around for along time and it is no doubt an iconic snack. Jack’s Links in the most notable beef jerky brand; their most popular jerky flavors are teriyaki, original, and black pepper, but lets be honest, all of them are great.
This snack will bring you a bit of nostalgia. As a kid, lunch-ables were an important part of your lunch and as an adult that hasn’t changed. Lunch-ables make a great snack, because as an adult, they don’t really fill you up. When buying a lunch-able, you have four options to choose from: pizza, cracker, sub, and nacho. If you’re lucky you’ll get an extra snack in your lunch-able, so may the odds forever be in your favor.
