5 Places In Boston To Catch Sunday’s Game

With the COVID-19 pandemic, fans aren’t allowed to attend most sporting events. If you still want to experience the thrill of watching any Boston sports team play live, perhaps chilling on your living room couch isn’t the way to watch Sunday’s action. If you want to enjoy the game with some friends, grab some drinks and still be involved in a fan environment, here are the five best sports bars in Boston you should try for next week’s Boston sports matchup.

Cask ’N Flagon

A classic in New England, Cask ’N Flagon is a go-to for sports fans throughout the Boston area. Located right outside of Fenway Park near Kenmore Square, Cask ’N Flagon is always packed with avid fans for whatever game is on that day. This sports bar is filled with screens near the bar, so you can watch the game from wherever you’re sitting. The restaurant has nearly wall-to-wall windows, letting in plenty of natural light and giving customers a view of the historic and beloved Fenway Park. Cask ’N Flagon has a wide range of food on their menu, with burgers, sandwiches, pizza and barbecue platters. They also offer 18 appetizers for those sports fans who only want a small snack with their drink. Cask ’N Flagon offers 12 consistent draft beers, almost entirely from local New England breweries. Additionally, they serve a wide variety of classic and signature cocktails for those who aren’t interested in beer. Game On!

Located directly across the street from Cask ’N Flagon, Game On is another great option to check out in the Fenway area. It’s known for being a bit more of a rowdy bar, as it occasionally hosts wedding receptions and bachelor parties. The bar is filled with Red Sox and Boston Sports memorabilia, including a model of the infamous scoreboard from the Green Monster in Fenway Park. They also have multiple ping pong tables for guests to use while they enjoy their dinner. Game On offers a large selection of pizzas, sandwiches and paninis, along with some uniquely flavored chicken wings, such as lemon rosemary and honey hot habanero. Their excellent atmospheres, drink lists and variety of pub food make them a dream for any Boston sports fan.
