5 Nightlife Places To Check Out In Chicago

City life is definitely the best for nightlife. There is always a new place to check out with your girls in Chicago whether you like rooftops, clubs, or simply something for happy hour. Depending on the scene you are looking for, there are many different nightlife places located all over the city ranging from super chill bars to very boujee dance clubs. Here are the main five places you should check out when in Chicago.

TAO Chicago, N Dearborn St.

If you’re planning on going out to the fancy clubs and looking your absolute best, definitely hit up places like TAO Chicago. The River North area of the city is a mixture of the hottest bars as well as clubs; there you will see most of the boujee-est places for sure. TAO in particular has a spicy, Asian-esque vibe with the hottest Dj’s playing every weekend. The crowd is mostly made up of people in later twenties and thirties, usually dressed to impress. The club doubles as a restaurant below so if you are hungry for some fantastic, fancy Asian food, this is the place to go. It will definitely make you feel like a celeb with the red carpet vibe, dancing to deep house martini in hand. Places like TAO is widely known for hosting celebrities and famous artists so best be on the lookout (and making sure your outfit is on fleek) because you will never know who you will run into!

Celeste/DISCO, W Hubbard St.

Also located in the River North area of the city, you can experience three clubs in one at Celeste! The first floor contains a super classy bar, usually used for chill conversation over drinks during the violet hours of the night. Get ready to go back in time to the 1970’s when entering the second floor to the DISCO club. Dance the night away to the Bee Gees on a lit up floor and huge disco balls over your head while having dance offs with your pals! You are guaranteed a groovy night here! On the top floor you can find a room resembling a more rustic and chill atmosphere. Filled with a more deep house vibe, you can order drinks and enjoy more of a cocktail hour scene if needing a break from hardcore dancing!

The Apartment, Lincoln Park

If you are looking for something more low key but just as fun and exciting, the Lincoln Park bars are for you! Located right in DePaul University’s turf, the crowd contains a lot of college students and recent grads but you can run into just about anyone. Lincoln Park contains a lot of chill bars as well as more upbeat places like The Apartment which has a bar below and a club upstairs on the second floor. You are guaranteed a night of dancing filled with a mix of pop, Latin, hip hop, and EDM music there. It is totally free entry for girls and guys, super casual (but you can dress cute of course), and hella fun! The Apartment also hosts Latin nights every Thursday and other special events throughout the year.

Stereo Nightclub, W Diversey Ave.

Located more on the outskirts of the city in the more “Euro” area, Stereo is also a super nice club and perfect for those who like to dance…a lot! You can expect a mixture of music but it will be mostly Euro-dance, Latin, and some remixes of pop. It is definitely dress to impress, but you can also feel at home with anything club casual. The crowd is hands down super European due to the location and owners but anyone can have a great time here!

LondonHouse Chicago, E Wacker Dr.

Last but not least, I highly recommend checking out the city’s rooftop bars like LondonHouse! Most rooftops in the city can be enjoyed during the day as well as night. On top of LondonHouse you can expect good drinks, good food, and one hella beautiful view of the city. With a modern art-deco style, you can definitely feel like a million bucks spending a night at this rooftop hotel. Although entry is free, it is also first come first serve for tables and seating because of popularity, so it is best to arrive early for a full night out. A nice perk of LondonHouse is that it is also a hotel so you can stay overnight at this fancy building! If you are looking for an alternative to a club, rooftops are definitely a good fit if you’re in the mood for a more chill and classy (but still fun) night in the city!

There are sooo many cool nightlife places to check out in Chicago. Whether you feel like going hardcore clubbing or enjoying a classy drink with the girls, there is always something for every mood and occasion. What are some of your favorite places to enjoy nightlife in the city?
