Movies To Watch Based On Your Zodiac Sign

If you can’t decide what movie to watch on Netflix (which all of these are currently available on) this weekend, think no further because your fate is in the stars! Here’s a list of movies you should watch based on your zodiac sign.

1. Aries – Pulp Fiction

Aries, known for being the feistiest of all in the zodiac, you know we love a good action movie. Luckily, Pulp Fiction brings us classic Tarantino gore, fighting, iconic movie scenes, and lines we can quote for the rest of our lives. If you haven’t seen Pulp Fiction yet, you’re gonna want to add this to your list on Netflix and set a good amount of time aside to fully take in the glory of this lengthy movie with no distractions.

2. Taurus – About Time

I genuinely don’t know one Taurus baby who doesn’t love a good rom-com. About Time stars our favorites Rachel McAdams and Domhnhall Gleeson which makes for a lovely Brit-American pair that meet on a literal blind date (dinner in the dark situation). This movie is great for those of you who want a rom-com with a lot more depth (rather than the typical boy meets girl, they fall in love, get married, and that’s the end, kind of movie) and also a bit of sci-fi mixed in due to a time travel aspect!

3. Gemini: Love, Rosie

Gemini, you get one of my favorite movies that will leave a lasting impression on you for a long, long time. Love, Rosie is one of those movies that seem to be realistic but also very unrealistic at the same time. Alex (played by Sam Claflin) and Rosie (played by Lily Collins) are childhood best friends who grew up together and throughout the movie, we see their lives grow apart and come back together in a cycles as real life often tends to do to us. This movie will (finally!) make you shut up, laugh, and cry in one sitting.

4. Cancer: One Day

One Day is basically the sadder version of Love, Rosie which is why I’m giving this to you, Cancer. I know you can handle the drama because you can never get enough of it in your daily lives already. Also a British movie that centers around two male and female best friends, this one is a lot more mature in tone. Stereotypically known as the cry babies of the zodiac, Cancer, you’re guaranteed to shed some more tears with this movie, so grab your already-opened box of tissues next to your bed, and get watching!

5. Leo: Set It Up

Leos, the boss women of the zodiac, you can probably  identify with Lucy Liu’s headstrong and very feared character in this one. Set It Up is a great rom-com about miserable assistants pairing their horrible bosses together so all of them can actually have a life outside of work. Although pretty predictable, you will laugh and root for all of the characters in this movie no matter how mean or annoying they can be at times.

6. Virgo: Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé

If you didn’t already know, Beyoncé’s zodiac sign is Virgo. Virgos should support other virgos, because you guys work too hard not to lift each other up! Queen Bey has blessed us with a two-hour and seventeen-minute aesthetically pleasing film on Netflix. Be ready to dance and sing along throughout this entire documentary featuring the ins and outs of her entire iconic 2018 Coachella performance which highlights the beauty and importance of black culture in our society.

7. Libra: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

Indecisive libras, you have met your movie match! If you haven’t already seen (or read) The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, you’re missing out on a great coming of age movie. These young women go through the ups and downs of life and maintain their special bond all because of these pants that fit all of them despite their physical differences. Their friendship lasts all because they didn’t know what to do with a pair of jeans (does the indecisiveness sound familiar?) so they all keep them for a set amount of time.

8. Scorpio: The Spectacular Now

Quoting Meredith Grey, you scorpios are the “dark and twisty” of the zodiac, which is why I am making you watch The Spectacular Now. You will find its complexity and adolescent drama pretty relatable, or at least understandable. It’s a more melancholy romance movie that has its good moments to warm your heart but definitely has its sadder ones. The Spectacular Now is aesthetically pleasing (as with all A24 movies) and leaves you something to think about after the movie’s over.

9. Sagittarius: The Dirt

Y’all are crazy you know that? The wildest of the zodiac, Sagittarius babies, you have met your match as there is probably no other band that was as stereotypically rock-n-roll as Mötley Crüe. As Netflix’s biopic of the real life 80s band, The Dirt takes you through the lives of all of the members experiencing their highest highs (literally) and their lowest lows. Also, Machine Gun Kelly is quite nice to look at in this movie and very accurately portrays Tommy Lee, so you’re welcome.

10. Capricorn: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

I know this isn’t your usual kind of movie Capricorn, but hear me out. You guys are definitely the workhorses of the zodiac. Well so is Scott Pilgrim (played by Michael Cera). When he falls in love with Ramona Flowers, he’s willing to take on her many ex-boyfriends and fight his very hardest. This funny, visually stimulating, and one-of-a-kind movie will remind you what hard work looks like, as if you already weren’t familiar with the term.

11. Aquarius: Velvet Buzzsaw

Out of all the signs in the zodiac, Aquarius, you are the most unique and trendsetting sign that doesn’t follow anyone else’s standards. The perfect movie for you stars Jake Gyllenhaal in a satirical thriller mystery that breaks genre borderlines and fuses together its own kind of film, similar to how you create your own way of life.

12. Pisces: Beautiful Boy

Beautiful Boy is the most emotional movie of the list, and you’re stereotypically the most emotional of all the zodiac signs, so this is a reasonable match. Starring two amazing actors Timothée Chalamet and Steve Carell, Beautiful Boy navigates the true-story relationship between a loving yet at an end-of-his-rope father with his son who became addicted to drugs. It will surely drive you to tears as you feel for these realistic characters, both trying to do their best to get better.
