Juice Recipes For When You Want To Bring Back The Juice Cleanse

I feel like juice cleanses were all over the place a couple of years ago. They are not as popular as they once were but we definitely should bring them back! Think of all the health benefits that you can easily get just by blending or juicing a couple of ingredients together! The goodness of these drinks still stands and they’ll look just as cute on Instagram as they did on Facebook, so why are we all not still doing this? Bust out your old juicer or blender and try out these juice recipes for when you feel like you need to bring back the juice cleanse.

1. Cleansing Green Juice:

I feel like when everyone thinks of a juice cleanse, they think of green juices that don’t taste all that great. But this juice is so hydrating and really refreshing. All you need to do for this drink is blend a cucumber, romaine lettuce, celery, and a sliced apple together. Get ready to feel hydrated and light as air because green juices improve red cell production and the flow of oxygen through your body. Cucumbers also make your skin and body feel ten times more hydrated than it normally does. We also know that everybody already says “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” but apples can also help with weight loss and heart health.

2.  Beet Juice Recipe:

Beet juice is another popular kind of cleansing juice that people think of when it comes to the term juicing. The deep purple, sometimes magenta color also looks amazing on those health motivated Instagram posts, which helped skyrocket this type of drink’s popularity. There are many versions with some even including various berries. But, a basic beet vegetable juice recipe includes beets, pineapples, carrots, and a little bit of lemon. The health benefits of this juice are off the charts with beets have tons of Vitamin C, help lower blood pressure, and increase your energy. Pineapples are loaded with antioxidants and can reduce inflammation, while carrots provide fiber and potassium. Plus, the delicious tropical and citrus flavors from the lemon and the pineapple make this drink taste amazing.

3. Dark Greens Juice:

Although I think this is what most people think of when they hear the term “Juice cleanse”, it still has amazing health benefits and is actually really delicious. Dark green juices typically include Kale, Spinach, cucumbers, celery, and apples. The spinach and kale have amazing healthy properties like potassium, fiber, vitamin B, and calcium. The apples and ginger not only add an amazing flavor profile to the juice but ginger can also help fight muscle soreness, reduce nausea and help prevent the flu and the common cold. If this isn’t a “superfoods” drink, then I don’t know what is!

4. Orange Cleansing Juice:

If you want to mix up your typical juice beverages and flavors, look no further than this delicious orange cleansing juice! This magical drink includes nutrient-packed food items such as Carrots, oranges, turmeric, and ginger. The big “superfood” or super spice if you will, in this drink is the turmeric. Turmeric helps with acne and gives you glowing skin, improves digestion, detoxifies the liver, boosts your immune system, and can help improve digestion. All of those benefits from just one of the ingredients in this juice recipe, make this a drink you just can’t miss!

5. Hydrating Watermelon Juice:

This drink is a tasty way to get your hydration on. Watermelon hydrates. Of course, most people expect that with “water” being in the name of the fruit, but watermelon also cleanses and hydrates other organs like your kidneys and skin. Add Watermelon, mint, cucumbers, strawberries to a blender or juicer to make this delicious drink. Watermelon, of course, tastes great but the strawberries and mint also add some good flavor. Most people don’t think of adding mint or other herbs to their drinks but mint can really pack a punch in the health benefits department. Mint can help you focus, help reduce mild cold symptoms, and of course, keep your breath smelling fresh. Plus, mint aids in digestion and strawberries can boost your memory and overall brain power.

6. Grapefruit Juice:

This grapefruit juice mix has only three ingredients but it has a delicious sweet and sour flavor; with tons of health benefits if you already weren’t beyond excited to try this juice recipe. All you need to make this drink is a grapefruit, some apple cider vinegar, and a little bit of honey. Grapefruit helps with weight loss, improving your complexion, and boosts your immunity. Apple cider vinegar lowers blood pressure, detoxifies the body, and has been said to help relieve migraines and headaches. Honey is not just for some added sweetness, though it’s perfect for that. Honey is also rich in vitamins and minerals and can help treat ailments like insomnia, the common cold, coughs, acne, and even fatigue. I knew there were reasons why I loved honey so much.

7.  Lemon, Ginger, and Turmeric Shots:

Get all the amazing health benefits of lemons, ginger, and turmeric in a convenient juice recipe shot. The lemons and ginger make for a great flavor that not only will settle your stomach, but lemons also have high levels of vitamin C, fiber, can aid in weight loss, and reduce one’s risk for heart disease. These are all powerful benefits coming from a common citrus fruit that we normally wouldn’t think twice about! Again, turmeric is a powerful root that has numerous positive qualities; especially when paired with ginger. These include managing blood sugar, helping with stomach pains, and reducing aches and pains in other parts of the body. This really is a trifecta of goodness that everyone should try at least once. You’ve got nothing to lose and tons of health benefits to gain.
