5 Jaw-Dropping Scottish Airbnbs You NEED To Stay In

We all know Scotland is a beautiful country with a rich history and breathtaking highland views. Whether it’s to get away from studying or experience what Scotland has to offer, Airbnb is your pal and it never disappoints. You’re spoilt for choice with lush city apartments, cozy country cottages and the most exquisite of castles! Here are 5 jaw-dropping Scottish Airbnbs you need to stay in. If not, you can always dream with the rest of us.

1. Tiny House

Tiny House has been verified by Airbnb plus so we know it’ll blow you away. With its own secluded deck on the sought after Loch Lomond, take a step into the future and stay in this wee airship. Despite it being smaller than a lot of spaces places, that is a unique charm! There’s actually more than enough space with a queen-sized bed, ample kitchen space and a wall of glass that gives you stunning panoramic views of both the loch and the highlands. Have a go at tiny living for a couple of nights here! This place is perfect for a romantic getaway with your significant other or a nice retreat alone.

Unfortunately, Airbnb doesn’t seem let us grab verified pictures so here’s a cheeky link!

2. Romantic 16th Century Scottish Gaelic Castle in the Glen

This one is ridiculously expensive, but we can all certainly dream. This luxury bed and breakfast is a 16th-century Scottish castle with a modern rustic interior. Enjoy a barbecue and drinks outside on castle grounds or a sumptuous feast for kings in the lair like the dining room. Surrounded by lands with 8,000 years of history, rule over this unspoiled gem with up to 9 of your friends.

3. Yurt in a Stunning Highland Setting.

This place is perfect for those that just want to get away, but want to experience something a little different and outdoorsy. Sleep in style in this dreamy yurt that’ll put any glamping festival tent to shame and wake up to a freshly cooked breakfast! It has a log burning stove that’ll keep you warm at night, perfect for a blanket and a book. The yurt sits nearby the clear waters of Loch Earn where you can go paddle boarding, hiking and Instagramming! If you enjoy the countryside, you’ll fall in love with this stay.

4. Chapel on the Hill

Another pricey one but one that’s worth it. Jaw-droppingly beautiful with breathtaking views of the surrounding land, this rather isolated chapel conversion has rightly won the UK property awards for its stunning interiors and idyllic location. With a space allowing for up to 7 guests, this Scottish Airbnb is brilliant for any occasion, be it a writer’s retreat or a family Christmas away from the city. If you’re looking for a place where phones aren’t going to be a necessity, this is the perfect place.

5. Converted Bus with Private Outdoor Hot Tub and Fire Pit

This quirky place had to be a part of this list. Situated a 40-minute drive away from Edinburgh in the village of Gifford, I can’t think of a more perfect Airbnb to escape to with the SO or the best friend. They said it themselves, take a soak in the hot tub and look up at the stars. It’s affordable too. Booked!

Beautiful Apartment in Historic Old Town Building

This place is already almost completely booked for the next 3 months! This Scottish Airbnb is in the heart of Edinburgh’s old town. With a quirky and eclectic interior that rivals showrooms, you won’t want to leave the apartment to explore the historic streets. But with everything so close, how could you not?!
