I Tried This Korean Skin Care Routine For A Week And These Were The Results

Recently, I’ve been wearing a lot of makeup and that has unfortunately resulted in unwanted pimples occupying my less than perfect skin. I mean, no one like having bad skin, especially not in the summer. So after watching some YouTube videos, I came across many people who tried the 10 step Korean skin care routine and the results were remarkable. Because of this, I decided to see if the same would apply to me. Now, don’t get me wrong, I didn’t do the entire 10 step routine, instead, I decided to condense it to a 5-step one and here was my experience!

Oil Cleanser – Hemish All Clean Balm.

The first product that I used was the Hemish All Clean Balm which was an oil cleanser that applied easily to the face when I had makeup on, this cleanser was amazing for taking it off. I simply applied some on my face and after washing off with lukewarm water, readied myself for the next step.

Gel Cleanser – COSRX Low-pH Good Morning Cleanser

This cleanser was great for getting rid of any excess makeup on the face and also, soothing and purifying the skin. A little goes a long way with this one and after using it, you’ll find that your skin is much brighter and has a nice glow.

Essence Toner – Pyunkyang Yul Essence Toner.

This was great because not only was it on sale at Beauty & Seoul but it was an essence and toner in one. While using some cotton, I would apply this onto the skin by gently dabbing it around. It felt smooth and cool on the skin.

Moisturiser – MUJI – Sensitive Skin Moisturising Milk (High Moisture)

Muji’s moisturising milk works perfectly on all skin types and glides onto the skin so easily. After I was finished washing my face I would moisturise with this. It also lasted throughout the day which is great for those of you who are busy working.

SPF – Heimish Artless Glow Base SPF50+ PA+++ 40ml

For this SPF I would only apply a small amount onto the face and spread it out. This one was great because not only could I use it on its own as the last step of my skincare routine but it could also be used as a primer for my makeup base. It is recommended to dab for absorption after application.

My results.

Even though I have only been on this Korean skin care routine for a week, I have noticed quite a lot of changes and have decided to continue on with it. Before I began the routine, I started to notice some small pimples on my cheek and nose area as well as a few on my forehead. However, after staying consistent with the skincare routine for a week, they have all begun to disappear. I have also enjoyed the feeling of healthier skin and felt confident in my natural skin because of the glow this new routine has given me.
