Victoria’s Secret models make walking down the runway seem effortless. With their dazzling long legs, and toned abs these angels definitely follow a strict meal, and workout plan. I tried eating like a Victoria’s Secret model to get catwalk ready and here’s what happened.
Eating and training like a Victoria’s Secret model is easier said than done. Angels usually incorporate lean proteins, fruits, veggies, and lots of water into their daily meal plans. To prep for this ultimate task, I set out to buy lots of fish, fruits, vegetables, and healthy snacks. For me, the prep was exciting.
I no longer eat red meat, and pork so only consuming lean protein was easy for me. The biggest obstacle I faced was incorporating a workout regimen into my day and drinking enough water.
Anytime I hear the term “meal-prep” I cringe. Meal planning seems to take a lot of work and time out of the day, but it’s the best thing ever. Meal prepping like a Victoria’s Secret model means sticking to your plan, with the occasional cheat day.
Breakfast would usually consist of an egg white omelet with spinach and onions, or a yummy green smoothie. Along with my usual cup of coffee I tried drinking hot lemon water first thing in the morning.
For lunch, my meals usually were grilled chicken salad and brown rice. This light and filling lunch leaves me feeling full, but not bloated.
My favorite meal of the day is dinner. It usually consisted of grilled fish and green veggies.
Eating like a Victoria’s Secret model seemed a bit difficult at first, but training like one seemed almost impossible. Getting excited to workout was a challenge for me. I wanted a taste of the effort put into being a Victoria’s Secret model, but was afraid of the challenge.
Be sure that your goals are realistic, and healthy. One thing I learned is that it’s best to start slow and work your way up. My workout consisted of Yoga and Pilates classes three to five times a week depending on my schedule. I noticed increased flexibility within weeks!
Sleep is one of the most precious things, and quite important when you’re looking to improve your lifestyle. Right before bed, usually around 8 pm, I put all electronics away and read a book or magazine. With the busy schedule of a Victoria’s Secret model, beauty sleep is a must.
With a good night’s sleep your day will be hopefully be productive and lively. Catching a good nine hours of sleep seems easy right? Think again, my mind races all night long, sometimes leaving me with very little energy the next day.
After eating like a Victoria’s Secret model, I felt like a brand new person. Not only did I incorporate a meal plan, but also a workout regimen. With my newfound angel wings, came self confidence and a true understanding of what it takes to be a Victoria’s Secret model.
