This resort might be one of the most stunning hotels on here. Based in a snowy Lapland forest in Finland, this hotel has cosy log cabins, a sauna, snow sport opportunities, and rooms sculpted entirely from ice. Set against the beautiful background of Northern Switzerland, the Berggasthaus Aescher-Wildkirchli hotel is positively idyllic. Teetering on the mountain edge, and therefore providing stunning views of the surrounding landscape, it is one of the oldest guesthouses in the country, with famed cuisine and typified by a mysterious atmosphere of myths, legends, and folklore.
Literally translating to “The Magic Mountain Hotel” Montaña Mágica Lodge in Chile is deep in the forest, characterised by a waterfall spilling all the way down the building, with cosy chalet-interior bedrooms.
Deep in the mysterious Ubud Jungle near Payangan in Bali, the Hanging Gardens hotel is complete with astounding tropical gardens, spa treatments and terraces. At the edge of the valley and overlooking the Ayung river, the accommodation comes in the form of Alang Alang thatched villas, our favourite feature being the two-tier suspended swimming pool, hovering over the tops of the trees.
The amazing thing about this Fiji- based hotel is that everything is completely underwater! The submarine-like bedrooms, with their porthole windows and curved glass roofs, give you an amazing perspective from which to view the wide variety of sea life.
