And while you might have all the food you want to serve, music you want to have, the costume you are going to wear and the activities you want to make at your party, you can’t forget to include spooky decorations to change the vibe of the place you are going to have the party.
Doesn’t matter if it’s your own house or a rented place, you want your guests to feel as if they had entered a whole need world. The great thing is you can either buy them and some decorations can be easily found at the cheapest stores or DIY your decorations with creative techniques you can find around the internet.
1. Spiderwebs Are A Need
Fake spiderwebs are something that can’t be missing at any Halloween party. You can use them outdoors over the chairs of your porch, in between the trees, hanging from the roof, the options with these are endless. They are also super cheap and easy to use as a decoration. Add some toy spiders in different sizes to add a spookier touch.
2. Pumpkins Everywhere
Pumpkins are the main character of the Halloween season and you should definitely have them as decorations on your party. You can decide if you make them from scratch, which could also be a great activity to do with friends and the laugh proudly of the result or just buy them directly from the store if you don’t have enough time. You could also use pumpkins as platters to serve your foods or use them as lamps in specific places around your house. Add pumpkins in various sizes and with different faces to give it a better effect. If you can add a light inside of them to make them come to life!
3. Make Your Own Graveyard
Why not bringing the cemetery vibe to your own backyard? With these tombstones you can definitely have it done, and the huge plus is that there are no deaths involved! Add some funny or creepy, whatever you decided, engravings to the tombstones. You can also write the names of your guests to give them a scare or of really famous people as if they had died in your own backyard! Be sure to decorate the tombstones with dead flowers, skulls, candles or pumpkins to completely finish the cemetery look decorations.
4. Skeleton To The Bones
Skeletons are always a funny addition to your Halloween party decorations. Especially if they are flexible and you can bend them in different positions. You could also style them as you wish, add them a bow, a tie, a veil, a coat, a wedding dress, a witch’s hat, every option is possible and will either frighten your guests or make them laugh! You could also have these skeletons with missing bones and places these bones around the party for everyone to stumble across one.
5. Guess Who Is In
Be sure to add a coffin that looks old, broken or has lots of safety locks as if it was keeping something pretty dangerous inside to your Halloween party decorations. You could also paint a red cross on top of the coffin, add a hand poking out of it, some fake dry blood or some lights that come from the inside as a warning to stay away from it. The best part is that you can either place this coffin in the insides of your house, at the entrance to receive your guests or outside in your backyard. The choice is yours for the best place for our trapped creepy friend to be!
6. Know Your Way
A really creative idea is to create wood like signs to indicate the ways you have the different Halloween scenarios you can find out from movies or TV shows. For example, you could add a Salem one, a twilight Zone, a Halloween Town or a Trick or Treat Street to the signs post. You could also come up with some different names of your own and make one big post sign at the entrance of the party place and a few others to add at the top of each room, so people know where they have arrived! Be sure to make the signs look old and used to give them a scarier touch.
7. Parking For Your Witches
Be sure to add a parking for your witch friends who come with their flying brooms to dance the night away at your party. You can make a sign by yourself or buy one from the store. Add as many brooms as you desire and if you want to make it more creative add the names of some of your guests as a tag to the end of the broom to give it a more personalized touch. Or hang some witch hats to complement the brooms.
8. Standing Cauldrons
Instead of serving your snacks in the regular plates get some standing cauldrons with cute phrases like trick or treat, happy Halloween or spooky nights, that you could fill up with the food you have for the party. These cauldrons will not only serve you as snacks servers, but they are also a way of not having to open the door every time someone knocks to give them some candy because you can add one at the entrance of your house with some candy. You could also fill them with ice and add refreshments. The things to do with these cauldrons are infinite!
Are you as eager as we are to start decorating for our Halloween parties? Because we can’t wait to transform our life as spooky as it can be!
