Hairstyles You Need To Try Out This Winter

With winter comes bundling up. Layers on layers on layers. People bundle up to keep warm, and leaving hair down is something that’s easy and simple for the winter, especially on those cold early mornings where the last thing you want to work on is your hair because of how fast your hands get cold. But do it. This winter, you’re going to spice up your daily look and rock these hairstyles. Maybe you’ve tried out some of these hairstyles before, maybe not! Here are some hairstyles you need to try out this winter.

High Split Pony

One of the easier hairstyles on this list, a classic high split pony is a hairstyle you’ve got to rock at least once this winter. To keep your neck and face warm, I recommend wearing a scarf or turtleneck when you rock this look if you live in colder regions that actually have winter weather. The trick with this look is where you position it. Get the pony as high as you can and make sure it is in the center of your head. Be in front of a mirror or have someone guiding you on where it should go because that part is crucial to make this look good. If the pony is too low, you can’t get that split that’s crucial to the look. Slick down flyaways and baby hairs with a nice pomade or hairspray it down, and you will be ready to go out this winter in style and with confidence.

Stacked Bobby Pins

To me, this is the easiest hairstyle to do on this list, but maintaining it throughout the night is something you want to pay attention to! You basically stack bobby pins in your hair, usually near your face to frame it, with about half an inch between each pin, and you are good to go! For people to see your hairstyle, I would get bobby pins that aren’t similar to your natural hair color, or go for large, shiny, jeweled out pins that will make a statement.  This is one of those hairstyles you can do last second if you have bobby pins that will stand out against your hair! I think you can try using bobby pins that are similar to your hair color, but I don’t think the effect will be the same.

Bubble Pony

This is one of the easier hairstyles on this list in my opinion! It’s modern, sporty, reminds me of Jasmine, and can be quickly done. Pull your hair into a high pony, space elastics every few inches, and pull on both sides of each section to get that bubble effect. You can wear this look anywhere. A coffee date with a friend, a date night with your significant other, a holiday party with friends and family, a holiday party with friends – it’s great for any occasion. I personally love wearing this out daily and with second or third day hair when I don’t know what to do or am short on time! I’ve mastered getting the right amount of space between each bubble and how much hair to pull out with each loop, and I firmly believe any of you can do it too.

Braided Bun With Jewels

This is one of those hairstyles that looks super complicated and looks like you can’t do it on your own, but with practice and effort put in, you can easily do it. Fishtail braid your hair loosely, then coil it around itself at the base of your neck (or anywhere on your head you want the bun to be, a classic location is at the base of your neck, but feel free to spice it up and do a high bun or one to the side!) and use bobby pins to keep it in place. After that stick in a few jeweled pins and you’re good to go! You can even look into purchasing jeweled pins that have words or phrases or cute large designs on them to make a bold statement with your hair. I don’t own any pins like that, but will definitely keep my eye out for them just for this hairstyle! This is definitely a date night or party hairstyle in my opinion, but you can totally do it for a night out with friends.

Sleek Side Part

This is one of those hairstyles that will work with short, medium, or long hair! Although if you have bangs, it may look a little off, but I feel you can manage by pinning them back or slicking them back with the rest of your hair. This look is sexy, chic, and relatively simple. Get some pomade, run it through your hair. Part your hair to whichever side you feel like and you’re good to go! While this style can technically be worn anywhere, I would personally save it for a party or special evening because it’s sexy and alluring to me. Rock it with friends though! Be the person who makes everyone stop and stare on a casual night out!

Half-Back With A Bow

This is a classic look that can be worn on a casual day out with friends for coffee or to a party with friends and family. You can coordinate the bow to match your outfit, or go with a classic black that will go with anything. This is one of those hairstyles that never goes out of style, but I feel like sometimes people forget about it. Bring it back this winter and stunt on everyone because you only spent 5 minutes working on it and look like a princess. This hairstyle definitely works best with third (or even fourth) day hair. Dry shampoo and texturizing sprays are your friend for this look, unless you want sleek locks, then you should straighten and smooth out the flyaways.

These hairstyles are must trys this winter! If you have short hair, use these as inspiration or modify the way some of these hairstyles are done to fit your cut! Let us know in the comments below if you tried any of these and what you think!
