5 Gift Ideas Your Significant Other Will Love

Having trouble finding the perfect gift for your significant other? Thankfully, your not the only one who has faced this troublesome predicament, in fact, this is a problem many couples find themselves in even if they’ve been casually dating for a few months, or have been together for seemingly a lifetime.

As intimidating and cliché this may sound, thoughts and gestures that come straight from the heart can bring anyone closer together, which is why gift shopping overall can be a little more then intimidating when it involves the person you love most. Fortunately, I have some amazing tips that can finally put an end to your gift seeking worries. Here are 5 gift ideas that your significant other will absolutely love!

1. A Framed Memory

Pictures can be worth a thousand words, especially if it includes the person you love the most. If you both have a memory you wish to remember for the rest of your life, its more than likely you snapped a quick photo at the time to do just that. Placing that memory in a nice frame gives your partner the experience to physically hold on to and cherish that particular day. Whether it was a time of passion on the beach, or a peaceful night at home watching Disney movies together, as long as it holds value to your partner, something as simple as a picture can be a gift they will never forget.

2. Personalized Jewelry

If your looking for something to give that carries a little more flare and expense to it, jewelry would certainly be the way to go. Some great jewelry gifts include diamond earrings, a gold or silver watch, gemstone rings, and even charm bracelets. However, personalizing jewelry will guarantee more sentimental value as a gift, especially if you decide to have it engraved in a special way. For some examples, you could put both your names on the back of a necklace, or perhaps have one of their favorite quotes wrapped around the outside of a ring. Get creative with it! Have fun! And every time your partner puts it on they’ll be reminded how much you care for them.

3. A Box of Chocolates

Odd as it may be, there’s a certain appreciation we all hold for the classic troupe of gifting a box of chocolates. Whether or not your significant other fancies their sweet tooth, the value of gifting a heart shaped box filled with treats of any kind will easily bring a smile to their face. As it states in the gesture, chocolates are the more classic choice when buying such a romantic gift, however, you can also replace them with treats that are more salty or sour. In fact, you don’t really have to put any candy in it all for your partner to enjoy! For example, you could instead include jerky, gummy bears, truffles, and even cookies.

Another particular detail that follows this sweet tradition is that you gift your partner their favorite treat in none other than a heart shaped box, an option that won’t necessarily dampen the gift itself, but if you do decide to follow through with it, it can be seen more as a romantic gesture rather than just a fun and thoughtful gift.

4. Thoughtful Replacements

Perhaps rather then worrying over what your partner may want, you instead gift them something they need. Replacing or upgrading valuable items they may have broken, lost, or had stolen will not just put a smile on their face, but will also help them find common solutions to any daily issues and concerns they may be facing.

Carefully pay attention to the conversations you have with your partner, as they may bring up certain issues their dealing with on more than one occasion. For instance, do you often hear them complain about how sore their feet are after a long day? Or maybe they’ve brought up the fact that because their wallet is only hanging on by a thread, money is constantly falling out and getting lost. Take these key moments as an opportunity to better their day to day productivity. Keep an eye on what’s missing or needs to be replaced, because when you gift them a solution that allows them to get past their problems, you can be confident that it will be used frequently and also well taken care of.

5. A Handwritten Note

While this gift may take more time and thought to complete, the sentimental value and thoughtfulness behind it in the end will prove all your efforts to be worth it. A handwritten letter to your partner will give your gift a more personal touch to it. Pour out your feelings for them on paper, remind them of how much you love and appreciate them. It doesn’t have to be perfect or written at a specific length, but the purpose behind it will always manage to create a significant impact in your partner that will truly stand out from any other gifts given to them in the past. Admittedly, some might find this idea to be sappy or “cheesy” for our generation, but there’s nothing wrong with bringing back a little old school! This can also be make a very special gift for your partner if you still happen to be casually dating, as it can let them know that your looking to pursue a stronger relationship with them!

At the end of the day, there’s absolutely no need to stress over trying to find the “perfect” gift for your partner. I know, it was already difficult enough finding “your one and only” through countless dates and hours upon hours of exchanging text messages over the phone. However, it’s extremely important to keep in mind that the trick to finding your lover and/or dating partner any sort of gift they will enjoy, is to make sure that it comes from the heart.

They won’t think about how much you spent for it or where you got it, but instead it will all boil down to the fact of how much time and thought you put into your gift, which will make it worth more than any form of currency (as redundant and cliché this may sound), and that’s what matters most!
