Actress and singer-songwriter well known for her 2002 hit Soak Up the Sun.
4. Claire McCaskill (AB 1975, JD 1978)
Democratic Missouri Senator serving since 2007.
5. Linda Godwin (MS 1976, PhD 1980)
6. Carl Edwards
A NASCAR driver who was born in Columbia, Missouri.
7. Max Scherzer
Pitcher for the Washington Nationals, previously having played for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Detroit Tigers.
8. Elizabeth Vargas
Previously an anchor of World News Tonight, an American television journalist who now anchors ABC’s 20/20 and News specials.
9. Stan Utley
Professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour.
10. Jay Nixon
A member of the Democratic Party, Nixon was first elected as the 55th Governor in 2008 and reelected in 2012.
11. Kellen Winslow, Sr
Former football player in the National Football League, and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
12. Andrew Cherng (BS BA 1949)
Co-founder of Panda Express.
13. Rodger Riney (BS CiE 1968, MBA 1969)
CEO and founder of Scottrade (online discount brokerage firm).
14. Neal Boyd (BA 2001)
Pop opera singer who won the third season of America’s Got Talent.
15. Sam Walton (BA 1940)
Founder of Walmart and Sam’s Club.
