Everything You Need To Know About The Party Scene At Loyola Maryland

As an underclassmen I may not have the greatest knowledge on the party scene at Loyola but, I do think I have a pretty good idea of where to go when you want to have a fun night. From going out in Towson, to Rally in the Alley, there’s plenty of ways to party at Loyola Maryland. Keep reading for everything you need to know about the party scene at Loyola Maryland!

Go to dorm parties!

If you’re looking for something chill to do on campus, then dorm parties are where it’s at. Usually dorm parties aren’t that big but you can expect to meet new people coming in and out, while also having a good time with your friends. Speaking from experience, be sure to check who’s knocking at your door before you open it to see that it’s the kids from down the hall and not your RA.

Explore Towson and party at Torrent.

If you are feeling a little more adventurous then you should head down to Towson, the Inner Harbor or Federal hill. Specifically in Towson, there is an 18+ club called Torrent. They have a live DJ that plays music all night which is great if you’re the dancing type and if you’re of age they have a bar!

 

Check out the bars at Power Plant Live.

The Inner Harbor and Fed hill are places to go if you are into more of the bar scene. One of the more popular places to go in the Inner Harbor is Power Plant Live, this is a strip of bars that are all within few steps of each other. Thursday nights are the most popular for college students to go down to Power Plant.

Don’t miss Rally in the Alley!

One of the biggest events they hold during the school year is Rally in the Alley. Rally is a day event at Power Plant where they have a live DJ in the middle of the strip of bars. A lot of college students from the Baltimore area attend this event. It’s definitely the event to go to for the party scene at Loyola Maryland!

 

Frat parties are harder to find.

Since we don’t have Greek life here at Loyola you have to go else where to find a typical frat party. Towson University and John Hopkins are only a few minutes away in an uber. To get into these parties, it usually helps to know someone who goes to the school or is in the frat you’re trying to get into. Since frats usually want to keep their party “ratio” more girls than guys it usually helps to go with a lot of girls if you are a guy trying to get in.

In the end, as long as you’re with friends you are bound to have a good night out, no matter where you go.
