Family Fun Day

Going to a basketball game with the whole family means time for fun! Dressing every member of the family in your favorite team gear or team colors is always the cutest. Whether it’s the jersey of your favorite player, socks, hair bows, sweatshirts or cute tees, these are all musts for a day of family fun on the court.

The Courtside Seat

If you’re courtside, or the first few rows from the court, it’s time for you to dress to impress. Not only are you in direct view of the players, but the media and everyone else also sees you in the arena. You have a good chance of being on television as well as sitting next to a celebrity! Try throwing the colors of the team you’re supporting into your fancy outfit to draw even more positive attention.

Going on a Date

If you’re going on a date, you can either dress up or dress down! There is no set dress code until both your moods are decided. If you have closer seats, or just want it to be a fancier date night, then you would dress like you’re going to a nice restaurant. Think: heels, a dress and a fur vest for the ladies, and loafers, dress pants and a nice shirt for the gents. If you’re going for a more casual, relaxed night, and both of you are huge fans, then wear matching jerseys and tees. Even if it’s just both of you wearing something with the team name on it, your team spirit is sure to shine through!

Family Reunion

For some, a basketball game might be a way of getting a family to hang out together. Now there obviously isn’t a dress code specifically for this, but rather how your family wants to dress. Many families like to sport fan gear and jerseys, but some like to dress to impress. It all depends on where you sit and what the occasion is.

Fan Zone

The title names the dress code for itself. The fan zone is not one specific section of an arena but appears throughout the venue. If you’re a hardcore fan, or just have fan gear and enjoy wearing it, you’re a part of the fan zone. Some fans go crazy with painting their faces, wearing wigs and making signs. You can do so many creative things when wanting to wear fan gear to a game, like all of your friends wearing jerseys of each player to create the team, or getting cute and wearing a team shirt tucked into high-wasted pants. The possibilities are endless when showing your support!

The Nosebleeds

The logic of many people who have nosebleed seats is, “Who cares what I wear no one will see me.” While this can be true, it’s all up to you. I know people who still dress up for farther away seats, some who dress in fan gear, and then some people who literally wear whatever they want. Nosebleed seats do not mean anything, so I say wear what makes you happy and enjoy the game!
