The short drive to Blowing Rock can provide a quality date night setting. Go window shopping, sit in the park, eat at Town Tavern, and don’t forget to stop at Kilwins before you go back to the dreaded dorm.

Also in Blowing Rock is Tweetsie Railroad, a Western themed amusement park. This has to be the best of all the cute date ideas around App State! A ticket to Tweetsie can get you a ride on the train, traditional amusement park rides, access to the shops and a memory to outlast that relationship. In fact, I went on my very first date here in preschool- memories.
