Cucumber Melon Gin Spritzers

If you’re looking to keep your cocktails classy look no further. This recipe from Spices in my DNA is a bit more involved than some of the others on this list, but it’s totally worth it. The first step is making your own melon simple syrup before adding gin, seltzer water, melon balls, cucumber and mint. This is a homemade cocktail you can have some pride in.

Prosecco Margaritas

One of the best cocktails on a hot summer night is a margarita, so why not upgrade it with a splash of prosecco? To make these cocktails more professional run a lime wedge over the rim of the glass before dipping it into coarse salt. A few simple steps and you’ll have a cocktail a mixologist could be proud of.

All the fresh fruit available in the summer is perfect for most cocktails, and this one is no different. Take blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries in a pitcher with sweet white wine, raspberry liqueur and lemon seltzer for a fun and fresh summer drink. If you can’t find fresh fruit, these cocktails still impress with frozen berries. To make this drink extra boozy switch the liqueur out for white rum and add in raspberry syrup for some added sweetness.

Pimms Royale

Pimms Royale is one of the many punch cocktails that are great in the summer. On top of the classic British summertime drink, add in a bottle or two of champagne to take this refreshing punch to another level. To make a Pimms Royale you will need a collection of fresh sliced fruit, orange juice, champagne, ice and of course a bottle of Pimms! For a less boozy version, you can stick to a regular Pimms punch and replace the champaign with lemon-lime soda.
