Everyone is always talking about UGGs as if they are a thing of the past, but come winter, you’ll see UGGs everywhere. They became popular in the early 2000s, and have never really left, although thankfully you see less people wearing them around in the summer with a pair of Daisy Dukes. These super comfortable boots changed from being a staple of surfers in California to being in every girl’s closet. Now you can buy moccasins, slippers, flats, and even slip-ons from UGG Australia. The brand has moved away from just the sheepskin boots as well, and you can find leather and suede knee-high boots, or a pair of combat boots. But there is really nothing else as comfortable or warm as slipping on a pair of classic UGG boots on the first cold day in November or December.
Another classic brand is the North Face. Almost everyone has a jacket from there whether it be the heavy and warm Denali or a lighter and less bulky thermal jacket. North Face too has become known for more than just the Denali jacket, which I can remember when I was in high school and everyone had to have one. The company has been around for almost 50 years now, and have always prided themselves on making topnotch gear to help humans push their limits and break boundaries. I know my North Face Denali is one of my favorite jackets to wear when it gets cold outside. They also have rain jackets, fleece hoodies, bionic jackets, and many more! When you’re looking for cold-weather clothing you can’t go wrong with North Face.
On college campuses everywhere, especially in places where it gets very cold and snows, girls wearing a North Face jacket with leggings and UGGS are a common occurrence, no matter how many times people think the UGGs trend is over. When it’s pushing 0 degree outside, I’m always going to pick practicality over fashion, which means my UGGs and North Face will always be a part of my wardrobe.
