Whether you're going to a Christmas party, or hanging with friends, you might want to check out these 10 Christmas drinking games that'll get you buzzed.

‘Tis the season to be jolly! And let’s be real here; boozy. Whether you’re gearing up for a doozy of a family Christmas party, or simply hanging in with friends, you might want a drinking game or two to pass the time. Check out these 10 fun Christmas drinking games that are definitely going to get you buzzed.

1. Boozy Christmas Songs

If you don’t usually play drinking games, start simple with this drinking game. Just get your drinks ready and stream one of your favorite Christmas radio stations. Every time a song says “Christmas”, drink. If Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” comes on, CHUG!

2. (Three) Kings

Grab your favorite Christmas playing cards and fire up a round of an extra festive game of Kings!

If someone draws a 10, you MUST do only Christmas-related categories. Jack calls for Never Have I Ever: Christmas Edition. And Queen? You are only allowed to speak in Christmas song lyrics.

3. Cheers to the Santa

Take Cheers to the Governor to a whole new level by creating Christmas rules! (Definitely one of the more difficult Christmas drinking games.) Players sit in a circle, and one by one, everyone counts to 21. (If you want to make it extra difficult, count to 25 – since there are 25 days of Christmas!) Whoever is the one to say “21” gets to make up a rule for a number.

Fun ideas include singing the chorus of Jingle Bells for the number 7, holding the mistletoe over the person to your right for the number 13, and taking a nice big gulp of egg nog for number 20.

If you mess up or forget a rule, you have to drink! And the count starts all over again.

4. Egg Nog Pong

Oh, egg nog. You either love it or you hate it. Replace a few of your beer pong cups with egg nog. It will either speed up or slow down your enemy, depending on how much you like egg nog. So #festive!

5. Christmas Dinner Drinking Game

Now, sometimes Christmas dinner can be a lovely time! And sometimes, it can be a lot of drama.

6. Christmas Movie Drinking Games

There are TONS of drinking games out there if curling up on the couch with your spiked hot chocolate is more your speed. If you’re watching Elf, drink every time Buddy screams “SANTA!”, runs into something, or calls his dad. Chug whenever he stuffs his face with candy, sings, or dances.

7. Christmas Instagram Drinking Game

Every Christmas, our Instagram feeds are crammed with tons and tons of posts. Why not make it a drinking game? Just open your app and scroll.

8. Dizzy Candy Cane

Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean you can’t take your Christmas drinking games outside! Grab a giant plastic candy cane (that is most likely already adorning your front yard) and pour a beer into one end. The player must chug the beer as the other plays count how many seconds it takes for them to finish it. Then, the player has to lean over with the candy cane pressed against their forehead and spin for as many seconds as the crowd counted.

Another person then tosses the empty beer can in the player’s direction, and they have to try to hit it. If they miss, that’s three more spins!

9. Santa’s Hat

Put a Santa hat on the corner of your television and turn on the tv. Every time someone looks like they are “wearing” the Santa hat, DRINK!

10. Kris Kringle

Sit in a circle with your friends. One person starts by saying “Kris Kringle” and then the next person goes, and so on. If someone takes too long, speaks before their turn, or messes it up, they must drink.

If someone says “Christmas drinks”, the play of the game reverses! (You only get to use this twice!)
