The 10 Best Places To Eat Around Suffolk University

Having Boston as your campus leaves miles [literally] of options when it comes to food. Not to say anything negative about Suffolk University’s dining halls. Anyways, sharing my top 10 food spots around campus. I’d say the list came pretty naturally, Bon Appité! Here are the best places to eat around Suffolk University:

1. Fajitas & Ritas

To kick us off I’m highlighting one of my go-to Mexican spots located right off Tremont Street, a little past Downtown Crossing Fajitas & Ritas. In college this was a great pre-game spot, and the fajitas are to die for, seriously. Plus who doesn’t love a good cheap Marg? No one – that’s who.

2. Tip Tap Room

In my post grad years The Tip Tap Room has undergone some changes with their menu. A high end pub that offers a variety of beers on Tap to partner with the Tips available on the menu – see what I did there? I highly suggest the baked brie to start. Since sunny days are around the corner, I’ll mention the huge windows – nailing the outdoor while still being inside hangout space.

3. Zen Sushi

Conveniently located on Suffolks campus Zen Sushi is one of the best sushi places I’ve found in the city. Speedy service, amazing rolls {lol}, tossed in with the price points – you can’t beat it. This was my go-to spot in between class during college. My two recommendations would be the Spicy Avocado Salad and the B52 Maki.

4. Piperi Mediterranean Grill

Is it just me or is there something about Falafel that just fluffs your feathers? Fast, fresh, and affordable Piperi Mediterranean Grill makes a mean gozi.  They make everything in house first thing. Literally even the dressings, every day – trust that you’ll notice the difference.

5. The Met Back Bay

They give you a slider in your Bloody freakin Mary, The Met Back Bay is the best foodstagram I’ve ever seen. A higher end brunch spot, it’s worth the occasional Sunday splurge. It’s a “can you hold that bite for a second so I can take a picture of our food” kinda place, yah know?

6. The Red Hat

As a former Ram it would be a dishonor if I didn’t give a shoutout to The Red Hat. The classic college dive, which can be found 4 feet from campus. Guilty of a first date here myself, it’s a go-to spot if you’re enrolled at Suffolk. Really good waffle fries, highly advised.

7. Wagamama

What beats a good ole cup of noodles? The option to get gluten free noodles #basic. With gluten or without Wagamama has my heart on a cold day. Conveniently located in Faneuil Hall there really isn’t an reason for you to not have checked it out yet. It’s a pretty solid spot for the gram too.

8. Yvonne’s

Honestly Yvonne’s is one of my favorite spots in the city. Handcrafted cocktails made by bartenders in cute suspenders, this place is so gramable. When you use the lou bring your phone & a friend, you’ll thank me later. Learning into Downtown Crossing it’s a great spot to hit pre or post night. Also, check out the alley way to the left on your way out.

9. Uptown Cafe

I know The North End is super authentic and the food is “to-die-for” but Uptown Cafe could possibly have em beat. I would say it’s one of the best Italian spots in the city, I’m also not Italian so be sure to add that to my two cents. Fast service, well priced, and four steps from campus Uptown Cafe may have saved my hungover bum once or twice.

10. Zuma Tex Mex

Last but not least, being serious here, Zuma Tex Mex is one of the best underground – literally, Mexican places in the city. $1 beef and chicken tacos on Tuesday, you’re welcome. It’s a great steak out place any day of the week, but lets not forget the Tuesday special – just saying.
