I don’t know about you but sometimes during the summer time, I love to hit up the movie theatre. Something about getting cozy next to your friends with a bag a popcorn, peanut m&m’s and a diet coke, always else up being a good time, even if it’s the most garbage movie you’ll ever see, the experience is always enjoyable. Why not grab your girls on a rainy day or whenever you gals want to escape the heat and check out a few of this summer’s new movies!

Secret Life of Pets 2 – June 7

If you love cute, corky, sassy cartoon animals then this is the movie for you. Enjoy the movies star studded cast as they take on adventures as the everyday average pet. I promise you’ll be laughing and feeling things you haven’t felt before as you fall in love with each and every fuzzy character.

Wild Rose – June 14

A heartfelt story of a single mother and ex-con with the wild dream of becoming a Nashville country star. Played by Jesse Buckly, her character will take you on a roller-coaster of emotions as her life takes a dramatic turn.

Men in Black: International – June 14

Bring me back to my childhood with this latest instalment of the world’s favourite men in suits. Chris Hemsworth, drool, and Tessa Thompson take over for Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as the new cast of Men in Black. Sit back and relax as the duo take on the city of London.

Toy Story 4 – June 21

Another on to bring me back to the good old days! The return of Toy Story ladies and gentleman! Come along for the ride as Woody, Buzz and the toy gang meet their new friend, a plastic spork with googly eyes and big problems.

Yesterday – June 28

A story of a mediocre singer-songwriter who gets himself into an interesting situation after being hit by a bus. Turns out after he wakes up from the accident he is the only individual in the world who remembers the Beatles so being previously unsuccessful, he decides to pass their songs off as his own and begins the journey to fame.

The Farewell – July 12

Taking on a completely different role from her scene stealing characters in Oceans’s 8 and Crazy Rich Asians, Awkwafia shows shes not just all comedy in The Farewell. In this family drama, shell have you feeling all sorts of feelings as her character and family travel across the world to say their goodbye’s to her dying grandmother.

The Lion King – July 19

This summer is really tapping into some heartstrings and making me feel all nostalgic and shit. THE LION KING!! Like common!! This computer-generated, photorealistic remake of everyones favorite classic is hitting the big screens and Beyoncé voices Nala, like could this get anny better?!
