This is a classic read about a girl, Cath, who enters her first year of college at University of Nebraska with her twin sister. Yet her twin doesn’t want to room together and ditches her all together. Cath has to go in blind and navigate her first year all alone while still trying to finish her fanfic of Simon Snow before the 8th book releases. The pressure is on.

Even if your bestie isn’t that far away, you two still have times where it may seem like 13 hours when it’s only 13 minutes. Not all nonfiction is boring! Take a detour into the real world with Roxane Gay as she discusses issues of race, representation of women in literature, and rape culture in her series of essays. Through compelling writing, Gay opens up and draws attention to many things you wouldn’t have thought of before. By far one of the most popular books out there right now. It’s no wonder it made my list of best books everyone should read.
