10 Beauty Products To Use For When The Cooler Weather Kicks In

Now I don’t really want to think about colder weather, but we all know it’s around the corner. *sigh* But if it has to come, I like to get at least my skin prepared for the colder weather, if I myself am not prepared. When I think about colder weather on my skin, all I can think about is moisturizer. So you can be sure there will be a couple of those below! I’ve shared 10 beauty products that will help your skin transition into the colder weather.

1. Avène Skin Recovery Cream

If you’re anything like me, thinking about the colder weather hitting your skin makes you want to carry around a bottle of moisturizer wherever you go. And if you’re like me, you also have slightly sensitive skin. The second cold hits my face, my skin reacts and flares up. So, I chose Avène’s Skin Recovery Cream as one of my first beauty products for colder weather because it is specifically formulated for those with ‘hypersensitive and irritable skin.’ This cream is meant to protect your skin against harsh conditions while also soothing redness and irritability, a perfect cold weather fighter that is compact enough to keep with you — if you so choose!

2. Tinted Lip Balm

With the dry skin also comes the cracked lips. Keep your lips moisturized with a lip balm like Maybelline’s Baby Lips, which not only moisturizes your lips but also adds a subtle tint to them. It’s always nice to feel like you have a little warmth to your skin during the colder seasons, so the tint provides just enough colour, while the balm softens and moisturizes cracked lips. What I love about these lip balms is that they also have SPF 20 in them, so they are both protecting and moisturizing!

Fresh’s Soy Face Cleanser by Fresh is the perfect addition to your colder weather skincare routine. This cleanser is super gentle and soothing, which is what you want when the weather gets colder and your skin becomes more prone to irritation and dryness. It also wipes off your makeup, too, which is always a plus! A reasonably priced and exceptional cleanser, Fresh’s Soy Face Cleanser is a beauty product you don’t want to skip when colder weather approaches.

Albeit on the more expensive side of beauty products but worth every penny, Caudalie’s Radiance Serum is meant to do just that: keep your skin looking bright and radiant during colder weather. It helps reduce the appearance of dark spots that have creeped up over the summer, ranging from acne, to blemishes, scars to sun spots, turning dull skin into a bright and healthy complexion. I love this lip balm! It is such a soothing — and tasty — lip balm that is, like the Maybelline’s Baby Lips, tinted and moisturizing for the colder weather. As its name suggests, the salve repairs and soothes dry and cracked lips.
