Back To School Supplies No Student Will Want To Forget

It’s that time again, time to go back to school. I know, I know.  It’s hard to say goodbye to the summer, but it’s what we all have to do. I might be alone in this, but something that’s always made me feel better about school starting again is knowing this means we get to get back to school supplies, and here are some you should get before things start back up again.

Printer

You’re going to need to be printing out lots of essays and reports during your time at college. So instead of worrying about needing to book it to the library to print something out before that pesky 8 AM, why not purchase a printer of your own? The HP DeskJet 3755 all-in-one printer will be the perfect addition to your dorm room for all of your printing needs!

Planner

Sure, we live in a digital world now, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t something to be said about having an actual physical planner. Writing something out in front of you can really help your mind remember important due-dates so you don’t find yourself scrambling last minute.

Notebooks

After you’ve chosen your fun planner, the next thing you’ll need is a handy-dandy notebook. Figure out which size works best for you and know that there will be plenty on sale wherever office supplies are sold…sure, the cutest ones may be at places like Paper Source (my guilty pleasure) but you can also decorate your own if you want to save a little money, too.

Pencils and Pens

Stocking up on pens and pencils is a must, especially because you don’t want to find yourself in That god-awful situation where you’re about to take a written final and you realize you left your pen behind and you don’t know anyone and oh-god-no-whatever-will-you-do! Solve that problem now and gets pencils. Loads and loads of pencils.

 Pen/Pencil Case

A pencil case or little packet can really help you keep everything in one place so you’re not always scrambling to figure out just where you left that pencil (or seven) behind. Sure, you can blame the pencil gremlin (as I’ve been wont to do) but having a designated spot for your pens and pencils and highlighters can really help, too.

New Backpack

Sometimes getting a new backpack can help you get in the mood for going back to school, too. Especially knowing you’re going to have to lug that thing with you everywhere, you might as well love it too. Keep an eye out for one that’s as sturdy, cushioned and weather-proof as it is cute. You don’t want backpack burns on your shoulders, do you?

Extras

Don’t forget your stapler, sometimes there will be nights when you just can’t get your act together in time to go down to the library to turn that assignment in. A three-ring punch can help you keep your hand-outs together in a three-ring binder, too. Stickies can help you with your notes and staying organized, and printer paper is a must (along with ink) if you’re going to get yourself a printer for your dorm this year. Portable chargers can save your life (and your phone and laptop battery) too. You’ll also want to have a nice water bottle to help you keep hydrated, and if you’re going to have roommates or be studying in a public space, soundproof headphones don’t hurt, either.

Last but not least: Snacks

When it comes time to studying, you’re going to need fuel to keep going, especially with those classes you’re taking this year (phew). Make sure you have plenty of protein lying around, whether it is in the form of nuts, cliff bars, or even just a jar of peanut butter (not your finest moment-but a lifesaver all the same).
