5 Artists Whose Album Merch Is Worth The Money
Musical artists find their way into our hearts through their music, lyrics, and unique personalities. That being said, these artists release merchandise for their fans to celebrate the release of albums, singles, even entire eras. What’s worth the hype?
1. Taylor Swift
I have been a fan of Taylor Swift since I was about nine years old and this talented woman has literally grown up before our very eyes. Throughout every single album release and each era of her music, Taylor Swift has revamped her look as well as her musical sound. Along with these progressions in music and image, Taylor also has released collections of merchandise that correspond with each era. This has successfully gotten fans excited and engaged with whatever she is releasing and the amount fo thought and time put into the design of each piece she creates for her fans is evident through the quality of the items. I have personally purchased merchandise from the last three or four eras: Reputation, Lover, Folklore, and all the way back to her very first tour collection. Consistently, I have been impressed with how durable and comfortable every item is, from hoodies to phone cases, oversized T-shirts, and ceramic mugs, Taylor Swift has succeeded to create beautiful and immersive merchandise time and time again! If you have been sleeping on her merchandise, I would highly recommend buying one of the pieces.
2. Machine Gun Kelly
Machine Gun Kelly has just dropped his newest album, Tickets To My Downfall, and to accompany that has also released a few merch collections. The items that he has come out with are all so unique with a fun punk twist. It is so clear when looking at his merchandise that it is his and I love that he has really played around with his look over the past couple of years. Machine Gun Kelly has such a variety of items available to celebrate his new album release from sick snake sweatpants to a nail polish collection featuring his signature colors pink, black, and silver, there is bound to be something that you vibe with just like his album! Some of my favorite items that he is selling at the current moment are Downfall Bone Crewneck which is a pre-order item as well as the Tickets To My Downfall Patch Set which are iron-on, allowing you to personalize anything you want with them, including clothing of your choice! His stuff is honestly so sick and you will not regret supporting him and his career by purchasing his merch.
3. BLACKPINK
Next, we have a K-Pop band that has stolen the hearts of people worldwide, BLACKPINK. This group is made up of four badass women: Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé. BLACKPINK has just released its first studio album which includes eight songs and has also released merchandise as well as four different album packages containing special edition photobooks, posters, the album, of course, stickers, postcards, and much more. I have ordered version three of the album package for myself and am eagerly awaiting its arrival in the mail! I also have my eye on a few apparel items that are for sale on the website, such as the Icecream Sleep Mask which celebrates their collaboration on a song with the incredibly talented Selena Gomez and the album crewneck. The prices are quite reasonable in comparison to other musical artists and there are so many items to choose from no matter if your personal style involves a lot of pastel colors are you like to stick to wearing a lot of neutral colors like black. I cannot wait to get my package in the mail and see these items for myself in person!

Reminiscent of the 1990s, we have an extremely popular boyband, Why Don’t We. This band is made up of four members, like BLACKPINK, Daniel, Jonah, Jack, and Zach. These guys create such catchy songs with a unique blend of pop and r&b flair. Why Don’t We offers so many merch items on their online store, including special merchandise for each of the members of the band. The latest single they dropped just released a few weeks ago and of course, new merchandise has been put on the website to commemorate that. What I like most about the merch for this band is that there are items that do not look like your typical merch items, you can get away with wearing them day to day and no one may suspect that you are wearing merch! My favorites on the site right now are the Mad At You Rose Hoodie, the Space Joggers, and the Fallin’ Socks. Prices for most of these items are super reasonable. For example, the 8 Letters Bracelet Set is only $10.00 and the hoodies are the usual price as far as merch goes, about $60.00 apiece.
5. Julia Michaels
Similar to Taylor Swift, I have been a fan of Julia Michael’s music for years now. Her lyrics always hit home with me and her style is so unique, which is reflected in the merchandise that she sells to her fans. Julia Michaels is able to effortlessly blend punk and girly styles with her tattoos and patterned clothing, and her apparel and accessories on the website do the same. I absolutely love the cropped T-shirt that has arms with Julia’s tattoos on them, it is so simple yet so personal. Also, Holding Hands Black Socks look so comfy and cool, especially if you pair them with chunky white sneakers. There are also accessories on the site, such as a rainbow embroidered patch that has Julia Michael’s signature on it and a flash tattoo set! Her merch is so cool and trendy while being uniquely her at the same time.
