Dating a shy guy can be a somewhat complex situation. If you’re always vibrant and energetic while he is always being reserved and timid, it can make the outings and interactions between you two awkward and boring. Some women tend to get annoyed with a guy who they feel is too shy and will dump him because of it. However, there are ways you can help bring a shy guy out his shell and show him how to be comfortable around you as well as others. Here’s how to handle dating a shy guy and bringing him out of his shell a little more.
When trying to help a shy guy become “un-shy”, there are some basic things you can do. You can start off by asking him why he is so shy which would get to the root of where his shyness stems from and open the door for you two to have a conversation about it. You can also ask him what he likes to do that makes him feel his most open or if there is a particular place or atmosphere that helps loosen him up, so he can fully enjoy himself.
Another possible way to break a shy guy out of his cocoon, is to take him to one of your favorite spots that you feel always help you get loose and feel comfortable around other people. Going to a poetry slam, listening to music at an intimate concert setting or even watching a TV show together that you both love, are some other alternatives to help break your shy guy’s shyness.
Ultimately though, you want someone to be who they are without you feeling the “need’ to change them. If your shy guy just can’t seem to break his shyness or he doesn’t feel the need or want to, you have to choose to either accept it and let him be or move on if it’s that much of an issue.
