8 Apps To Boost Your Brain Power

I bet you think you have every awesome app there is to be had. All the necessities, all the games, all the tools. Sure games like Candy Crush and those Run games are great for enhancing cognitive and reflexive skills. And we probably don’t even know this. We just play because it’s time consuming. There’s also idle games which are just plain addictive (but in a good way). Aside from these no brainers, did you know there are apps that are specifically geared towards making you smarter? If you’re gonna kill time with apps you should at least do something useful. Let’s cram something in that can benefit us in other important aspects of life. Check out these 8 awesome apps, that boost your brain power.

Luminosity

Luminosity is a great brain power game that has decent reviews on the Mac app store; a rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars from 43K reviews. This is the type of game that’ll have you playing and passing time, enjoying yourself while at the same time getting smarter. It’s really geared towards a fun-education appeal. The objectives are clear and there’re comparisons that let you know how you’re doing in brain powers compared to others your age.

Elevate

To start Elevate you take a quick proficiency exam. Then you begin the questions. Elevate is a great app for students in engineering, writing, accounting, etc. It tests your ability to resolve educated problem. So if you want an app to boost your brain power in this sense, this is one to download. It’s great for recaps and practicing. It also has great ratings and reviews from other students who’re boosting their educational brain power!

Brain Dots

Brain Dots is an adorable game that is certainly fun to play while you’re on the subway or have some time to pass up. It trains your brain to resolve practical issues using two dots that need to be joined together! Aside from boosting brain power it’s a drawing game and gives you a chance to doodle your way to smartness.

Brain It On!

Brain It On is similar to Brain Dots in that it requires you to draw your way to the solutions of simple problems. Only this time you’re not connecting dots, you’re tipping over glasses and catapulting shapes across the screen. You have to be smart enough to figure out what to draw though. So this game is a total challenge. This is an awesome app to boost your brain if you’re into educational gaming.

Brain Games: Moron or Smart?

This is my personal fav out of the bunch. Brain Games combines mental ability with physical fitness and has a squishy brain icon exercising through the whole thing. “Memory Warm Up,” “Attention Treadmill.” It’s adorable I swear. The games on here are totally creative and unique in comparison to most brain power games. The tests are simple but tricky if you’re not quick. Your ability to focus, identify, and act fast will be tested with this one; and losing is hilarious. You will be laughing at yourself. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who wants to boost their brain using apps.

Happify: for Stress & Worry

Happify is for those who want something more thorough. This app doesn’t just put you right to the brain power test. It evaluates you as a person and your individual needs in terms of happiness and satisfaction. Your questioned about your thinking processes and more, and then the games kickoff. The gaming in this app isn’t as complicated as the startup process. It’s geared towards fun and uplifting play that makes you feel elevated as a person; because happiness, satisfaction, and positive emotions play a part in how well our brains operate as well. This is another great app to boost your brain power.

Calm: Meditation and Sleep Stories

Another important part of brain health is feeling calm and collected. Calming is an app that helps you relax with natural sounds, inspirational quotes, meditations, and breathing exercises. Having an effective brain means having a mind that’s not tense or stressed out and Calming helps with this by allowing you to escape life for a moment each day. This is another wonderful brain power app you can find and use.

Cognifit

And finally an app that has a bit of everything. Cognifit is like a collaboration of all brain games you’ll find on the internet. The game has various tests, puzzles, and information to help you become a smarter person. They’re all activities that can be completed in your spare time. So instead of playing regular games, you can become smarter by playing Cognifit games.

Remember our brains can be powerful! You have to exercise them like muscles. With all the useful apps out, you can boost your brain power from basically anywhere at any time. Let me know in comments if you’ve tried any of these apps.
