10 Amazing Food Places In Greensboro, NC

Greensboro is a haven for a variety of unique restaurants, so it was difficult for me to narrow it down, but these are my foodie favorites, with an emphasis on being both ethnically diverse and budget-friendly! Here are 10 amazing food places in Greensboro, NC.

Korean

Urban Street Grill

A wonderful food truck serving up a delicious Korean BBQ fusion menu – burritos, rice bowls, bulgogi cheesesteaks and tacos! My favorite is the spicy pork rice bowl with fresh avocado, fried egg and pickled onions. You can often find them outside of local breweries!

Seoul Garden

I could just eat their banchan as a full meal – so generous. Try their Seafood Ddukbaegi (seafood stew) if you like spicy food. It is filled with the most flavor-packed broth I’ve ever tasted.

Banh Mi/Bubble Tea/Vegan

Saigon Sandwiches Bakery

Have you tried Banh Mi? If not, what are you waiting for? Come get the best and cheapest one of your life here (Under $5!). I don’t even like sandwiches, but this is truly addictive – A fresh toasted warm baguette with marinated pork or chicken, fresh cucumbers, and carrots, along with jalapenos and spiced up with some fish sauce. You won’t regret it!

Boba House

Hands down the best bubble tea in Greensboro. Avocado flavor is my favorite because they use FRESH avocado and real tapioca pearls. Lychee is also a wonderful flavor to try. After one sip you’ll be hooked. Be sure to check out their vegan menu – it’s extensive and wonderful! Not too often do you find vegan dishes in an Asian restaurant!

Indian

Sona’s Indian Cuisine

They have an awesome buffet but the Mango Lassi here is to die for. Think creamy yogurt infused with fresh mango puree – it’s the smoothie of your dreams. Get their frequent customer card and you’ll thank me later.

Taaza

Their weekend buffet has a great variety of Indian dishes and plenty of freshly baked Naan. Load my plate with that and all the curries, please!

Local Classics

Yum Yum Better Ice Cream and Hot Dogs

One of the most popular eateries near UNCG, Yum Yum’s has been around since 1906 and for good reason! Their homemade ice cream and unique red hot dogs keep the crowds coming for the flavor and nostalgia. There are tons of different types of food places in Greensboro, NC.

Stamey’s BBQ

Don’t speak of mustard BBQ here. The vinegar base will make you forget that any other varieties exist. Wonderfully tender BBQ, tangy slaw, and crunchy hushpuppies are the fan favorites. Their fast and friendly service makes me happy every time I eat there.

Crafted

The globally inspired tacos are exquisite here, but I’m partial to the Mason of Bacon starter/dessert. Yep, it’s a Mason jar filled with bacon, served with caramel and chocolate sauce for dipping.

Scratch Handcrafted Donuts and Fried Chicken

This is a newer addition to the Greensboro scene but has quickly gained a following, and for good reason. Get the sriracha honey chicken (served on donut bun or glazed donut) sandwich and don’t look back. The Apple Fritter is also a winner.
