10 Adorable Gameday Outfits At Baylor University
Are you in serious need of ideas for gameday outfits at Baylor University? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Gameday is probably my favorite thing to do at Baylor. The atmosphere of the fans is mind blowing, and when you add in the band, the team and the spirit squads, it gets pretty exciting. Because Baylor is in the lovely city of Waco, Texas, games can get pretty hot for the first half of the season, and slightly chilly for the second half. Here are some go-to outfits if you are wondering what you should wear for gameday outfits at Baylor University!
1. Jeans, Booties, and a T-shirt
You can never go wrong with a good pair of ripped jeans. Whether they are white, black, light wash or dark wash, ripped jeans are the perfect for the Texas heat. The holes keep your legs cool and keep you away from sunburn (which will happen if you wear shorts- trust me, I’m speaking from experience.) Booties are great because they can dress up any outfit. If you park at the stadium, go ahead and break out the healed booties. If you park on campus and have to walk to get to the stadium, rock the flat booties! There is never a shortage of Baylor shirts in Waco. If you’re looking for a cute gameday shirt, then go over to Spice Village, the HEB spirit shop, Barefoot, or one of the other stores in Waco that have super cute clothes!

2. Monochrome Dress
All of the Baylor games have a color theme. One game is “White Out”, the next is “Green Out”, then “Gold Out”, and so on and so forth. Color out games are a great way to connect all the fans and create an awesome atmosphere for the team to play in. Monochrome dresses are great because: 1) Baylor has great colors and it is literally so easy to find dresses in solid green or gold. 2) It’s fun to coordinate with your friends and 3) you can see how others at the game incorporated the specified color into their outfit. So breakout the monochrome dress and throw on a few statement pieces (because there is never a wrong time for Kendra Scott earrings and some fun shoes.)

3. Baylor Line Jersey
I might be little bit biased on this one, but the Baylor Line Jersey is by far the best choice for gameday outfits at Baylor University (if you’re a freshman.) At every home game, the freshman form the “Baylor Line” and rush the field to create a tunnel for the football team to run through. I did it for all but one game and it’s so much fun! Just grab a good pair of running shoes, Nike shorts (because it gets pretty hot in the line section) and your jersey, and get ready to run on the field and support the Baylor Bears.
4. Vests & Sweaters
If you’re heading into the tail end of Baylor football and it’s starting to actually feel like Fall, then you might want to wear something other than a t-shirt. Fall in Waco is the perfect time to bundle up with a good sweater or a vest. Pick out a monochrome long sleeve shirt for under the vest, or just fly solo with a nice sweater. White low-top Converse and a statement necklace will look great while you watch our Baylor Bears sic their opponent!

5. Baseball cap and Baylor Hoodie
Texas weather is kind of odd, odd in the sense that there are no actual defined seasons. It’s just hot or cold here. So when it hits late October through mid-November, it’s chilly in the mornings and hot in the afternoons. Not ideal weather for when you are trying to figure out what to wear for an 11 a.m. game. Pick up a baseball cap for when the sun decides to come out at around 12:30 p.m. and throw on the hoodie for that first hour of football on the cold stadium seats.

6. Leggings & A Long Sleeve Shirt
What is the best outfit for Fall you ask? Leggings and an over-sized shirt. Go by the bookstore and pick up a shirt (the clearance section is my favorite because cute clothes and saving money is a must) and your favorite pair of black leggings. Those white converse will come in handy here, or if you’re looking for something different grab a pair of Toms or some Birkenstocks. Flannels make great gameday outfits at Baylor University to add warmth and still look cute during the chilly weather!

7. Colored Skinny Jeans and a Flannel
What better way to show your Baylor spirit than to wear green or gold pants. Some great stores to check would be Spice Village, Amelia’s Fashion Exchange, or Courtney’s Boutique (the latter of the two both being in Central Texas Market Place.) Some gold skinny jeans with a green boyfriend flannel are good for those late November gameday outfits at Baylor University. Pair that with some light brown booties and a cute cross body bag and you will be good to go for a day at McLane.

8. Monochrome Shirt with a Baylor Scarf
Gearing more towards the tail end of Baylor football season, a monochrome shirt with a green and gold scarf is a good way to stay warm. The scarf is an easy find around Waco, but if you’re a college parent there are a ton of options on Amazon, too.
You can hit up Spice Village, HEB Spirit Shop, or the Baylor Bookstore for monochrome shirts. Pair it with some comfy jeans and a good pair of booties, Converse, or Toms and you are ready to watch a good Baylor game.
9. Baylor Dress with a Jean Jacket
Baylor dresses are a must-have for any Baylor fan. Amelia’s Fashion has some that are made out of the super soft t-shirt material, which can be good for the August or September games while the heat is still blazing. Throw on some cute sandals and get ready to walk over the bridge to McLane. When it starts to cool off, pull out the old trustworthy jean jacket to wear over the dress and a good pair of boots. If you want to dress like a true Texan you’ll put on a pair of cowboy boots, but if you’re like me and don’t have any, any other pair of boots will work.

10. Colored Skinny Jeans and a Cardigan
For our last outfit, let’s go back to those colored skinny jeans. Amelia’s Fashion is a great place to go for good clothes at a good price, and that’s exactly where this outfit is coming from. The gold jeans pair up great with a nice pair of brown/nude flats or loafers. Throw on a monochrome shirt, a white cardigan, and a flashy statement necklace and you will be the best dressed in your section. Since there is a bag size limit at McLane, you can grab a small wristlet or a clutch to keep all of your essentials in.
