Adorable Date Ideas For Every Month Of The Year

Each month brings different weather, different vibes, and different opportunities for special events and holidays. This is an exciting idea, and it’s extra exciting when you think about all of the fun and unique things you can do every time a new month begins! This, of course, includes date ideas. Each month, a plethora of new dates open up as the weather changes, and we’ve gathered some pre-planned date ideas to coincide with every month of the year!

January – Ice Skating

This winter month—the very first month of the new year—is the perfect time to go ice skating with your significant other. It’s super cute and classic, and you can hold onto each other or each other’s hands the whole time! This is an adorable way to bond with your partner and try something new if neither of you are seasoned ice skaters. Plus, you can do this either outdoors or indoors, depending on where you live.

February – Spa Day/Night

Whether it’s actually going to the spa together for a couple’s massage, or just having a cute spa night at home, this is a great date idea for when winter starts to get a bit dreary. A spa treatment is the perfect way to lift your spirits, and it can be really fun and romantic! If you’re on a budget and can’t go to the actual spa together, run to Target and grab some face masks, candles, and snacks and just enjoy some self-care with one another.

March – Dinner At A Fancy Restaurant

Why not treat yourself and your partner to a fancy, romantic dinner at the nicest restaurant in town? While it can be a bit of a splurge, only indulging in a fancy dinner once a year won’t break the bank. You and your significant other can both get dressed up, hit the town, and enjoy a classy night out at a fancy restaurant! This will be sure to reignite any missing sparks, too.

April – Game Night

You can interpret this one as you will; this could be an epic Mario Kart battle, a lively game of chess, ultimate trivia… the list goes on! Just pick a game that both you and your partner will enjoy, and then raise the stakes! Try to come up with some fun consequences for the loser, or a sweet prize for the winner. The two of you will definitely be laughing all night long!

May – Brunch & A Walk In The Park

When the weather starts to get nice outside again, there’s no better way to celebrate than having a quiet and relaxing morning with the person you love most. Go out for breakfast or brunch, and then take a walk or hike somewhere. You’ll both revel in the nature and the warmer weather, and it’ll be a morning that you cherish for a long time!

June – Romantic Picnic

With summer now likely in full swing and the good vibes all around, take your partner out on a romantic picnic date! This can easily be done on a budget, and it is such a cute way to just enjoy some time alone together, some good food, and some beautiful nature! Head to a park nearby and spread out that picnic blanket because this is a date idea you absolutely need to try!

July – Drive-In Movie

Drive-in movies might be slightly outdated, but this is a great way to turn back time and enjoy the classic movie date with a fun twist! If there’s a drive-in theatre anywhere near you, it is totally worth the trip and the money. You can cuddle up with your S.O., relax, and enjoy a movie old-school style!

August – Beach Day

With the end of summer drawing near, there’s no better way to enjoy those last days of warmth and sunlight than at the beach. You and your partner can make a whole day of it! Play some beach volleyball, relax in the sand, read a book, and go splash in the waves together; you’ll both have a blast soaking up the last month of summer, and you’ll have some great memories to treasure forever!

September – Outdoor Photo Shoot

September, while officially autumn, often still feels a bit like summer. The weather is typically very nice still, so take advantage of that by having a couple’s photo shoot! If you don’t have a ton of pictures together already, this is a great opportunity to get some snapshots of memories. Find a friend or a photographer and have a whole photo shoot session while the sun is still out, and you can be outdoors without a coat on!

October – Apple Orchard

This is the ultimate, classic fall date, and you really can’t skip out on this one—you’ll regret it! Visiting a nearby apple orchard is such a blast, and there’s so much to do! You can take a hayride, make your way through a corn maze, pick apples, try some cider, and just revel in the beauty of fall together.

November – Thrift Shopping Spree

In November, with the holidays quickly approaching, there’s no better time to get some shopping done… especially if it’s thrifting! Grab some new clothes for winter and ask your partner for their thoughts. It’s also incredibly fun to pick out outfits for one another, so try to have them style you while you style their look!

December – Movie Marathon

If you celebrate Christmas, this is the perfect month to have a Christmas movie marathon with your S.O.! There are dozens upon dozens of holiday classics to watch each year, and this is a great cozy date to have as winter is beginning. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, that’s okay! Pick out some of your favorite movies while your partner picks out some of theirs, and then dedicate a whole weekend to watching them all! You can get right back to the basics with a cozy date like this.
