A Rundown On The Best Podcasts For Growth And Self-Care

Recently, I’ve been getting into podcasts and it’s something I discovered in quarantine. They’re great for unwinding, getting advice, or getting a good laugh. Here’s a rundown on the best podcasts for self-care and growth.

Anything Goes With Emma Chamberlain

This podcast is one of my favorite ones! I find a lot of relatable instances in Emma’s podcasts that actually make me feel like there are other people in the world that experience the same things as me. She talks about confidence, anxiety, high school, relationships and a whole lot more. It’s not always so serious but rather witty humor mixed with pure advice to life. I would highly recommend listening to this because it genuinely feels like you’re having a conversation with her and it’ll help you realize a lot!

Anything Goes has done wonders for me, mainly because I connected with some of the episodes and learned some great advice. There’s also tons of episodes with funny content if you just need a laugh!

Girls Gotta Eat

Girls Gotta Eat, hosted by Ashley Hesseltine and Rayna Greenberg,  is a comedy podcast that talks about dating, breakups, finding yourself, self-care and female friendships. It is full on realistic with amazing advice and featured guests every once in awhile to give you their insight on topics.

Ashley and Rayna really feel like your big sisters when you listen to their podcast. They talk about all kinds of topics that you can 100% relate to and discuss situations you may encounter which you may not realize many people go through as well.

What We Said

Best friends Chelsey Jade and Jaci Marie motivate and entertain listeners by talking candidly about business, health, life, relationships and more. They also feature in guests occasionally to join them and read fan stories/questions to give unsolicited yet sincere advice.

What We Said and Girls Gotta Eat are almost similar. They have the same general idea of topics but are both extremely humorous and full of amazing advice. This is great for when you’re having a bad day, or are in need of some big sister help.

Zane And Heath: Unfiltered

Zane Hijazi and Heath Hussar come together in this podcast to give you the reality or the unfiltered tea on their life. Inside stories on meeting the Kardashians, to learning how to not care what other people think of you, this raw yet humorous podcast is a great one to hearing about reality.

love Unfiltered! Zane and Heath are one of my favorite Youtubers because they are always so real with each other and their fans. Their podcast is filled with amazing stories that have well-learned lessons which will keep you entertained.

Style Your Mind

Style Your Mind, hosted by Cara Alwill Leyba, has done so much in bringing direction to my life. It’s targeted for success-driven women that want to up their game with tips given in her podcast, improve their way of thinking, and just reinvent the way they see life. Her powerful conversations and motivating interviews can really capture you with each episode.

The amount of inspiration that I’ve gotten from this podcast is insane! The way Cara speaks makes it feel like she is directly talking to me and I instantly get motivated to finish whatever work I need to do. It’s not always about productivity; sometimes I like listening to her give tips on money, setting goals and a lot more. There’s a lot to learn here and it’s amazing for a transformation.

Curious With Josh Peck

Mostly funny but occasionally deep and emotional, Josh Peck comes in this podcast to bring in curiosity of the world around him. From the perspective of a celebrity he talks about the various factors to life as well as getting through serious obstacles. He also brings in several guests throughout the podcast to reflect on their experiences in different parts of their lives. Curious is filled with adulting advice including the do’s and don’ts, and some great self-growth opportunity.

Watching Josh Peck grow from being in Drake & Josh to becoming a father and husband, you really hear about his lessons through the podcast along with his journey!

And She Rises

And She Rises is also a great podcast with financial advice, being independent and rising to become a successful and confident person. It is perfect in helping you feel a boost of energy along with a surge of motivation to get your life together. Filled with impact, inspiration and the influence to being an independent QUEEN, Amanda Frances brings you everything you need to boss up.

Mixed Up

Mixed Up is an amazing way to get educated while also learning more about yourself. This podcast is specifically for people looking to get an insight on race and identity with learning more about the mixed races. Of course you don’t have to be a mixed race person in order to listen to it; anyone who truly has a curiosity  what these people’s lives are like or just are in need of a change of genre can listen.

Mixed Up really opened up my mind by allowing me to place myself into the shoes of other people. You don’t realize how much certain people of color go through things in their daily lives. I would highly recommend listening to this because you’ll gain a lot of information about how you treat others.

Telling Everybody Everything

Katherine Ryan comes in this podcast to tell everybody everything. From stories about her life to dating advice to making money, she brings in candid chattiness with some pettiness on the side, to give you the real dish on life.

Katherine is an amazing human being that will tell you what you’re doing wrong straight up in her episodes. With no filter at all, she brings the reality of things we have to face in life and how to face them fearlessly. She teaches how to stop caring what others say and to do what you need to do for yourself.
