5 Travel Items You Should Bring On Any Long Trip You Go On

If you’re planning a long trip there are a few travel items that are an absolute must. Some things you can forget and it’s not the biggest deal, but if you forget any of these items, you’re straight up not going to get over it. So without further ado, the essential travel items, write this down!

1. Noise-Canceling Headphones

Perhaps the most important on the list because whether it’s long flights, long car rides, or long walks, it’s nice to be in your own world and not hear anything except what you want to hear. Listen to your favorite music, podcasts, or really anything you want, when you have these noise-canceling headphones in nothing else matters. By far one of the most essential travel items out there. Any headphones will do the trick, but if you want to spend a bit more cash, the noise-canceling ones really hit harder and make whatever you’re listening to sound that much better without having to hear the outside world.

2. Water Bottle

It’s important to stay hydrated whether you’re traveling or not, especially if you’re traveling somewhere hot. Heatstroke can ruin any day or any trip if you’re out in the sun long enough without water so any water bottle is one of our must-have travel items. Get yourself a bottle that keeps water cold for long, a water bottle that collapses for easy storage in your backpack, or one that looks really cute in that Instagram post next to your passport and your plane ticket. Whatever the case may be, at some point you’re going to get thirsty and don’t waste money buying plastic water bottles.

3. Notebook

If you’re going on a long trip, a fun thing to do is to take notes throughout the trip of your favorite parts, or even just a recap of what you did so you don’t forget! It’s always nice to go back and read when you get home so you can reminisce about all the fun you had, the people you met or the places you saw. This is also nice if you’re bored on a flight or a car ride, you can write all your thoughts like a journal, or even use the notebook to doodle or play drawing games with your friends!

4. Portable Charger

Potentially tied with the noise-canceling headphones for the most important thing on this list, a portable charger for all of your electronic devices. From your phone, your laptop, to your tablet, this small piece of tech can save your life. If you’re out and about in a new city, and your phone dies and you don’t have your charger, it could be a long day of not knowing where to go or what to do if you didn’t plan the whole thing out.

Or another bad scenario, you’ve downloaded all of your favorite shows on Netflix to watch on the six-hour car ride, and your phone dies an hour in and the driver doesn’t have a car charger… absolute nightmare. So pack one and feel free to use as much battery as your heart desires.
